Each box contains 4 or more deluxe or full-sized beauty products ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare, valued at $50 or more. The expert Vegancuts curator vets each beauty brand to ensure that only clean, cruelty free, and conscious brands are included in the box. Beauty products are always vegan, paraben-free, and free of harmful chemicals.

If you are a subscriber to the Vegancuts Snack Box, both subscriptions will ship together with the Beauty Box items packed in a reusable linen bag. Love this option to save on packaging materials!

The theme for the October box is “Beauty Treats, Not Tricks”. This box features 7 products valued at close to $80. Proceeds from the box will go towards supporting the Sale Ranch Animal Sanctuary in Temecula, CA.

Let’s take a closer look at all the items.

Rose + Quartz Super 7 Leave in Conditioner – $9

“7 superpowers – bond builder, anti frizz, detangler, heat guard, UV filter, moisture treatment + color preserver. Apply to wet hair 1″ from root or mid-shaft to tips. Add water if needed to distribute evenly.”

Rose + Quartz Chakra Serum – $9

“Encircles locks with aligned shine and silky energy for radiant movement you’ll feel instantly. Anti-frizz, detangler, heat guard, UV filter, hair breakage preventer, hair gloss. Apply to wet hair 1″ from root or mid-shaft to tips.”

Rose + Quartz Hair Mask – $7

“Breakage control, color deepening, detangler, anti-frizz, strengthening, softening, hydrating, split ends prevention, damage control. After washing, generously apply 1-2″ from root to tips, focusing on mid-shaft to ends. Finger comb and leave for 2-5 minutes. Rinse off in cool water.”

This month, we got not one, not two, but THREE hair treatment products! They all sound amazing and like exactly the kind of product I need for my frizzy hair prone to breakage. The products all have a slight scent that is really pleasant. I found the hair mask a little hard to rinse off, but other than that I really enjoyed all three products. They left my hair feeling conditioned and soft.

VegaJelly – $6

“Vega-Jelly is a 100% vegetable oil all natural moisturizer. This multi-purpose healing plant-based emollient is the ultimate alternative to petroleum jelly. Apply externally to moisturize skin, face, hands, feet, lips, hair, and nails.”

Petroleum jelly is not something I typically use, so I can’t compare how this performs as an alternative. I think this may help my dry cuticles that is just exacerbated by the cold weather.

Insta Natural Vitamin C Night Cream – $27

“An antioxidant-rich formula that intensely moisturizes to minimize and prevent the look of fine lines and dullness, to increase radiance and improve the look of uneven tone. Massage a small amount into cleansed and toned skin.”

I could use a cream that promises to minimize fine lines. Looking forward to giving this one a try!

Shikai Healthy Glow Facial Cleanser – $10

“This citrus aromatherapy cleanser is gentle enough to use daily and washes away skin impurities without disrupting the skin’s natural pH balance. Apply a small amount of cleanser and gently massage it into the skin. Rinse and pat dry.”

I am really enjoying this cleanser. It is gentle on the skin and I love the citrus scent.

Dr. Botanicals Turmeric Mask – $10

“This mask provides antioxidant protection and hydration to boost skin radiance whilst balancing out skin tone. It aims to help with dryness and blemishes. Apply a thin layer to clean skin then leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.”

I hear so much about the benefits of turmeric, really excited to try it out in mask form. This mask did leave my skin feeling soft and hydrated, and I’m hoping to see more of the other effects with longer term use.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the box this month is another winner from Vegancuts. My favourites are the cleanser and Dr. Botanical mask. I also really enjoyed all the hair masks. As always, I really like the variety of products included. The box this month is such a good value and at such generous sizes. No teeny tiny samples here! Definitely recommend this subscription, especially if you are wanting to try out some vegan skincare products.
