The Vegancuts January Snack Box is “The Vegan Starter Pack: 2023 Edition” with proceeds supporting the Barnyard Sanctuary in Blairstown, New Jersey.

“Happy New Year! We were so thrilled to bring you 11 of the best products for January. They were the perfect way to ring in the new year and even better if you just started your vegan journey. Some of our favorites were grain-free pretzels from Savor by Suzie, veggie straws from Hippeas, prebiotic rich soda from Poppi, and a crispy birthday treat from Blake’s Seed Based. In this box, we included vegan lollipops, pigless pork rinds, and more. Let’s make 2023 the best year yet!”

Let’s take a closer look at everything in the box.

Outstanding Foods Pig Out Crunchies

“Plant-based pigless pork rinds that solve all savory and salty cravings.”

I think these are a really tasty salty snack and I would happily eat bags of this. However, to me they are not like a pork rind, so if you go in expecting it to taste exactly like the real thing you may be disappointed.

Savor by Suzie Sea Salt Grain-Free Pretzels

“These grain-free pretzels are 100% allergen free and delicious.”

I really enjoyed this one! Not as good as the regular pretzel, but an amazing substitute for those looking to avoid grains. I also find the grain-free version slightly denser and more filling.

The Daily Crave Lentil Chips

These are not listed on the product info card, so must be a bonus item this month. They taste just like regular potato chips – crunchy, lightly salted, and yummy.

Hippeas Veggie Straws

“A new product from Hippeas – these veggie straws are loaded with plant protein.”

Hippeas snacks are amongst my favourite, and these new veggie straws did not disappoint. I would perhaps have preferred a different flavour other than the sour cream and onion, but these are absolutely delicious.

Bakery on Main Monster Cookie Granola

“Mouthwatering gluten-free granola perfect for a quick breakfast or midday snack.”

We get a pack of Bakery on Main granola every month in different flavours, the flavour this month is Monster Cookie with dark chocolate, nuts, and sprinkles. Love these for an oatmeal topper for a quick breakfast.

Blake’s Seed Based Birthday Cake Rice Crispy Treat

“Delicious rice crispy treat made from seeds and real fruits – the perfect midday treat!”

Such a fun little snack! This one is just a tad too sweet for my tastes.

Poppi Orange Soda

“Prebiotic soda that helps boost your immunity for the winter months – also delicious!”

It has been a while since we got a drink from Vegancuts, so I was quite excited to see this. I really enjoyed this one, not overly sweet, citrusy, and refreshing served cold. Super curious now to try the other flavours offered.

Brothers All Natural Strawberry Fruit Crisps

“Crunchy dried strawberries that are great on their own or as a breakfast topper.”

Dried fruit are such a great snack! These are amazing with cereal.

Wiley Wallaby Cinnamon Licorice

“Licorice that is not for the faint of heart – a bit spicy and absolutely addicting!”

Unfortunately not one for me, I am just not a fan of licorice. The cinnamon flavour sounds interesting though.

Sunny Fruit Organic Tart Cherries

“Tangy plump dried cherries with no added sugars or syrups.”

These remind me a lot of dried cranberries. So good in cereal or mixed in oatmeal.

Koochikoo Assorted Lollipops

“These sweet and sour lollipops have no added sugar and are kid and adult approved.”

These are such fun! I think it has been ages since I last had a lollipop, and eating one just brings back childhood memories. Love that these have no added sugar.

Final Thoughts

I am really loving this month’s Vegancuts Snack Box! There is a good variety of sweet and savoury snacks, and even a beverage. I enjoyed everything except the licorice, with my favourites being the Hippeas Veggie Straws and dried fruits. This box is filled to the brim with new and interesting snacks to try, it is always such fun to unbox.
