Vellabox Artisan Candle Subscription Review June 2024

Today, we’re diving into the world of artisan subscription boxes with a spotlight on Vellabox — a monthly box that delivers unique, artisan candles right to your doorstep each month.  If you’re anything like me, discovering new scents and adding a cozy glow to your home is one of life’s simple pleasures. Vellabox Subscription Details

Vellabox offers three different subscription options:

• The Lucerna Box · One 4 oz candle (25+ hours burn time) + one surprise gift from $12/month
• The Ignis Box · One 8 oz candle (50+ hours burn time) + one surprise gift from $22/month
• The Vivere Box (that’s mine!) · One 16 oz candle (80+ hours total burn time) + one surprise gift from $29/month

All of the candles are Artisan made in small batches with natural ingredients, including 100% natural wax, cotton wicks, and phthalate-free scents – so you can breathe easy. Because they’re Artisan made, you can discover a new small brand with every box.

You’ll take a questionnaire when you first sign up where you’ll indicate your favorite scents. Vellabox will use this info to make sure you’re getting the scent profiles you love most.

Unboxing the June 2024 Vellabox

The theme of the June box was “Happy in a Million Little Ways” and if that doesn’t sum it up perfectly, I don’t know what does!  There are a million ways to find happiness, and most of the time they are small and simple – like hugging a friend, getting a really awesome fortune inside your fortune cookie, or the joy of lighting a decadent new candle. This summer, we’re all about bringing on the softness – kicking chaos to the curb and finding happiness in the little nooks and crannies of life. The June Vellabox is off to a great start.

One of the things that makes receiving a monthly subscription from Vellabox a little bit extra special is discovering the surprise gifts that they include inside. Each month the box will include a bonus lifestyle item. June’s surprise item was a Brass Bookmark Clip that not only secures your place with the pages of your favorite book, but also serves as a beautiful reminder of the joy found in the simple pleasure of reading by candlelight.  I love the little engraved reminders. Such an adorable yet functional piece to treasure.

 

Another fun perk of Vellabox is always found on the back of the product card.  They include a link to a curated Spotify playlist for the month. This month’s playlist is called, “Paradise Found” and it features serene melodies, and uplifting beats to invite tranquility.

 

For June, there were three different scent options to choose from, or you can choose to be surprised!  They’ll send a scent that is based on the preferences you select when you subscribe. So, if you’re not into woodsy, or fruity, then they won’t send those options to you.  Subscribers also have the option to be surprised, but to always receive the “classics” such as pumpkin spice, holiday scents etc.

 

I chose to be surprised and Vellabox sent me, “Amalfi Coast.” It has a nice sweet, citrus scent that’s not too overpowering, yet strong enough to fill my large kitchen with a lingering sweetness. It’s described as lemon, kissed by the Mediterranean sun, blooms of jasmine, and sea salt. I have no idea what the Mediterranean Sun smells like, but I still feel like they’ve captured it perfectly!  I really loved this one!

Each month Vellabox partners with a different candle maker to create their 3 scent options. This month, all the June candles are made by Fjord & Fable Home Fragrances out of Pittsburgh, PA.  Founded from a small galley kitchen, they dreamed up a business that would offer high-quality scented products that were sustainable and safe, while bringing warmth and coziness into your home.
