January Maker – Sunday Candle Co.

Owner Michelle always had a passion for candles and loved how they could set a certain mood or even bring you back to a certain memory, so she began her own small-batch candle company in 2018. For her, Sunday is a day to unwind before the start of a new week, her favorite kind of Sunday evening involves “candles lit and a bubble bath (and wine, of course)”.

This peppermint lip balm from Mr. B’s Necessities is like no other. Classic peppermint has the wonderful cooling sensation that makes it a staple scent for many lip balms. I am always happy to receive lip balm and peppermint is my all-time fave. I just finished up the balm I keep by my bed so this one arrived at the perfect time.

Facing West

Inspired by the immense wilderness of the Rockies and a yearning to explore, take in the smells of the forest. The beautiful mix of trees that come together to evoke a sense of warmth and comfort.

For the longest time I have tried to figure out how to describe tree scented candles. They are among my favorite, and describing them simply as “tree” scents just doesn’t do them justice. The product description for this one nailed it on the head – to evoke a sense of warmth and comfort. That’s exactly what this candle does and I LOVE it!

Nordic Cabin

Notes: winter berry, norway pine, cedar, roasted chestnuts

No such thing as cabin fever with a scent as addicting as this one. Tonight, we stay in binge watching that new season all in one sitting with the candles lit, a fire going, and a view of the great outdoors. 

To complement our first candle we have a second with a tree scent base. I love the other wintery scents it is mixed with. It ‘s the perfect January candle and it is giving me all the feels.

Vellabox Review January 2021 – Final Thoughts

Vellabox has done it again. They have provided me with two amazing new candles, both of which I can’t wait to use. I was wondering what they were going to do for the month of January, and in my personal opinion they nailed it. We just came off three amazing months of festive candles and I was worried the January box would pale in comparison. But, it’s just the opposite. The beautiful tree scents are just as wonderful as the scents featured in the October, November and December boxes. Vellabox continues to be a favorite!
