Vellabox Subscription Details

Vellabox offers three different subscription options:

• The Lucerna Box · One 4 oz candle (25+ hours burn time) + one surprise gift from $12/month
• The Ignis Box · One 8 oz candle (50+ hours burn time) + one surprise gift from $22/month
• The Vivere Box (that’s mine!) · One 16 oz candle (80+ hours total burn time) + one surprise gift from $29/month

All of the candles are Artisan made in small batches with natural ingredients, including 100% natural wax, cotton wicks, and phthalate-free scents – so you can breathe easy. Because they’re Artisan made, you can discover a new small brand with every box.

You’ll take a questionnaire when you first sign up where you’ll indicate your favorite scents. Vellabox will use this info to make sure you’re getting the scent profiles you love most.

Monthly, 6-month and 12-month subscriptions are available. Shipping is free on all US orders and shipping to Canada is $5/shipment.

Unboxing the July 2024 Vellabox

My first impression of the July Vellabox captured the month’s theme perfectly. The box itself had a calming, earthy vibe, mixed with a little whimsy. Opening the box, I was greeted by a beautiful card that displayed the theme.

Vellabox always includes a delightful surprise gift with each box, and July was no exception! This month, I was thrilled to discover a super cute Matchbox Patterned Tote. This high-quality canvas tote features a playful design of matchboxes and lit matches. So on point for a candle lover! It’s an adorable petite size for everyday errands or impromptu adventures. It’s not big enough to hold a beach towel, but it could totally hold a great book, a few pens, and a snack for an outdoor summer reading adventure! That’s how I plan to use mine at least.

One of the things I have really come to love about Vellabox is the curated Spotify playlists that accompany each month’s theme. July’s playlist, titled “Wild & Free,” is a vibrant collection of tracks that perfectly captures the essence of adventure and the joy of living life on your own terms. Each song is an upbeat anthem or a liberating melody, encouraging you to embrace your wild side and explore something new.

I popped my headphones on and got lost in this playlist while I prepped for a family gathering last weekend and it hit all the right notes to keep me going and to help me keep my peace.

There are always 3 different candle scent options to choose from. Or you can elect to be surprised by Vellabox.  Naturally, I’m a surprise a delight kind of gal so I leave it up to Vellabox to pick the perfect option for me.  They always come through for me!

This month’s featured candles are created by Aria Bella, a Pittsburgh-based company founded by Ariana Posa. Inspired by a desire for clean, simple scents, Aria Bella uses all-natural ingredients to create candles that are as beautiful for your home as they are safe to breathe.

I received the “Linen & Eucalyptus” candle, aptly described as “a breath of fresh air for your home,” which is exactly that.

The candle features a fresh, herbal scent profile that combines ozone, linen, eucalyptus, sea salt, freesia, moss, and powder. As soon as I took the lid off, I was instantly in love with the fresh clean (but not too powdery) scent. It’s invigorating, yet calming at the same time. As someone who loves the smell of fresh laundry and a clean space, this candle literally could not be more perfect. It gives clean vibes all the way around.

Vellabox always includes a little information about the featured candlemaker on the product card. This month, we learned about Ariana’s love for clean fragrances and her commitment to using natural ingredients. They even included a discount code for the Aria Bella website, so you can stock up on your favorite scents or explore their other offerings.

Vellabox never disappoints, and the July box was no exception. The “wild spirit, soft heart, sweet soul” theme resonated deeply, and the entire experience – from the calming box design to the perfectly fresh candle scent – totally embodied that message.

The “Linen & Eucalyptus” candle by Aria Bella is a true gem. The clean, herbal fragrance is like a breath of fresh air, perfect for unwinding after a long day or setting a peaceful mood for reflection.
