Eeek! I have been looking forward to this box for months! The October Vellabox is one of my most anticipated boxes for October because I knew it would include some festive scents. This is my favorite Vellabox to date…..it will be hard to top this one.

October Maker – Aster Candle

Catherine Kwolek began making candles in her kitchen as a creative release from her 9-5 accountant job. While she’s upgraded to some larger candle making equipment since then, Aster is still a one woman show. Each candle is created with care and is intended to enhance your everyday space.

Bonus Item – Sunflower Seed Butter

Thoughtfully crafted food made with whole seeds and simple ingredients, just like you would at home, and free of the top food allergens for a more inclusive community.

Such a fun little bonus item. Sunflower seed butter is one I’ve never tried before. I love peanut butter, almond butter, tahini and cashew butter so I’m sure I will love this as well.

Canvas Bags

The candles are packaged in reusable canvas bags. Each month we receive a different color/design.

Pumpkin Spice

Notes: ginger, cinnamon, clove, pumpkin, brown sugar, nutmeg, vanilla, molasses

We’ve checked and you just can’t do fall without pumpkin spice.

Eeek! I was hoping for a pumpkin spice candle and here it is. And I totally agree! You can’t do Fall without Pumpkin Spice, it just wouldn’t be complete. This particular pumpkin spice scent is lovely….I can’t stop smelling it.

Apple Orchard

Notes: orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg, apple, jasmine, clove, oak leaves, musk

Fresh and crispy like it’s straight from the source. Let’s go apple picking!

The perfect complement to a pumpkin scented candle – apple! The moment I opened this memories from childhood came rushing back. I used to go to a Christmas decor shop with my Mom every holiday season and they would make apple cider for their customers, the scent would fill the shop. This smells exactly like that, and it’s the best memory so this candle is dear to my heart.

Vellabox Review October 2020 – Final Thoughts

It’s official! This is my favorite Vellabox to date! But I kinda figured it would be. I love fall, I love candles, I love holiday scents and I love burning candles this time of year……it all goes together and it makes for the PERFECT October box!
