Vellabox Review September 2024

My September Vellabox is here and it’s giving all the fall vibes – but with a little twist! Vellabox Subscription Details

Vellabox offers three different subscription options:

• The Lucerna Box · One 4 oz candle (25+ hours burn time) + one surprise gift from $12/month
• The Ignis Box · One 8 oz candle (50+ hours burn time) + one surprise gift from $22/month
• The Vivere Box (that’s mine!) · One 16 oz candle (80+ hours total burn time) + one surprise gift from $29/month

All of the candles are Artisan made in small batches with natural ingredients, including 100% natural wax, cotton wicks, and phthalate-free scents – so you can breathe easy. Because they’re Artisan made, you can discover a new small brand with every box.

You’ll take a questionnaire when you first sign up where you’ll indicate your favorite scents. Vellabox will use this info to make sure you’re getting the scent profiles you love most.

Monthly, 6-month and 12-month subscriptions are available. Shipping is free on all US orders and shipping to Canada is $5/shipment.

Unboxing the September 2024 Vellabox

Every month Vellabox is based around a theme. This month, the theme was “Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn.”  I was immediately drawn to the sunflower twist in the cornucopia. Generally, you think of mums or leaves in the fall – but I loved the sunflower angle!  Such a unique twist on this season.

Vellabox loves to surprise and delight with the bonus items that they include every month. This month, they included not one but two air fresheners in the scent of “Autumn Air.” This is their newest seasonal scent and it captures crisp, refreshing notes of fall – such as apple, pear, ozone, linen, eucalyptus, moss, wood, and musk. I don’t usually love musky scents, but this one had a much cleaner, fresher overtone, so I actually like it!

And these came at the perfect time too. Vellabox included air fresheners earlier this year (I think it was April) and I was just noticing that my car could use a little air freshener. Just call me the soccer mom taxi cab – I’m driving tween and teen boys all over the place for soccer on the weekends and let me tell ya, those cleats can pack a punch! So these air fresheners are a welcome break from what’s been brewing in my car lately.

Another fun feature of the Vellabox subscription is their curated playlist each month. This month the playlist was called “Full Moon” and it featured enchanting and ethereal tracks to bring a sense of calm while listening.  Even if it’s not your style of music, I love how it’s an easy way to explore different types of music and step out of your comfort zone!

There are always 3 different candle scent options to choose from, or you can let the team at Vellabox surprise you!  I always go for the surprise option and they do a great job sending me candle scents I love.

This month, I received the “Sunset Hayride” candle from Beautiful Moon Candle company. This is a sweet and spicy scent profile, which again, is usually a bit out of my comfort zone, but was a lovely surprise.  It’s scented of bermagot, spruce, cypress, sage, palo santo, patchouli, dark musk, smoke, pumpkin, fir, anise, nutmeg, and cedarwood. Whew. That’s a lot of scents! But really, it captures the essence of a golden autumn evening and almost smells a little bit like sunflowers!  I think it’d be great to burn in the evening while reading a good book.

Beautiful Moon Candle Co is the featured maker this month. Each month Vellabox partners with a different artisan maker to craft the candles for the box. Beautiful Moon Candle Co is based out of Billings, MT. They create natural, high-quality products made in small batches such as candles, body products, and air fresheners. The Founder, Dasia Biggins, has meticulously developed each scent and sourced every ingredient with the goal of providing the cleanest burn possible. Their products are eco-friendly, sustainable, cruelty-free, non-toxic, and free from parabens.

September’s Vellabox was definitely a ray of sunshine this month bridging the gap between end of summer and the early days of fall with their sunflower, autumn theme.  Another box that was well done by my favorite candle subscription.
