Wantable Intimates Review January 2016
We’re getting straight to the point today, no messing around….. I have a love/hate relationship with Wantable, and this month I am leaning a little more towards the “H” word than the “L” word. I took a little break from Wantable between May and October and then again in December. I use to get a couple of their boxes every month, but as my love started to wane my interest in subscribing did as well. But…..they made some changes to their Intimates Box, and I had high hopes, so I decided to give it a try.

A couple of months ago I received an email from Wantable stating that they were making some changes to their Intimates box, here’s what they say about it – “Your new collection will feature two stories: lingerie and loungewear, each containing three premium products. The end result is that your collection will coordinate better and allow you to create a cozy or sexy look in a snap” – needless to say I was very excited about this because I love the idea of a coordinated outfit. Well…….I decided to give it a try, and a coordinated outfit is definitely not what I received.
Knit Robe with Shearing ($48) – This is the only item in the box I am happy with. I was really hoping I would receive a robe and the color suits my taste perfectly. I like that it’s a short robe, and that it is soft and cozy. The love for my January box stops there however….
Over the Knee Socks ($18) – I love over-the-knee socks but these do not go with the robe and they look more like a pair of gym socks than anything. I’m picturing an 80’s track athlete, or one of the characters from Dazed and Confused……FAIL
Plush Pants ($28) – And then there are these….where do I even start with these…..they are horrible. I tried to be optimistic and imagine myself wearing them around the house as “lazy day” pants but I don’t think I could bring myself to do even that. I really don’t like this material, and they definitely don’t go with the robe……FAIL

Thoughts: I really like that the value of this month’s box is over $80 but other than that I don’t really like anything else. The robe is cute and cozy but I was really, really, hoping for a coordinated outfit like they said in their email. Please let me know if I am being too picky, but I just don’t see how any of these items go together. Basically what I am saying is that I hate my January Wantable Intimates Box, and I never hate any of my subscription boxes. Do I even bother giving it one more try or do I forget about Wantable altogether?
