March Box Details
The March Yogi Surprise box theme is “Chikitsa”
Spring is a time for rebirth and renewal. Cleanse and detox with this month’s handpicked offerings.
March signifies the official beginning of spring so what better theme for a subscription box than renewal and rebirth!? I had never heard the term “Chikitsa” before but it’s literal translation is “therapy, cure, medicinal application and treatment” so it’s a healing term, a word that aligns with renewal and beginning again. The items in this month’s box will definitely help you start fresh by helping to detox your body and soul to prepare for the season ahead.
Here’s a look at what was in this month’s Yogi Surprise box ($80.98 total value):
Selenite Wand
Detox your aura with this gorgeous 8” selenite wand. Known as “liquid light”, this crystal is a versatile tool for energy cleansing, meditation, healing, and unblocking stagnant energy.
This is a fantastic crystal for adding to your meditation practice or meditation altar. Not only does it look stunning but it’s perfect for clearing the air and starting fresh with it’s cleansing properties. It’s said to help block stagnant energy too which to me is the definition of winter, so spring is the perfect time to break this out and rid the winter vibes. You could use this a ton of ways – place, wave or hold onto this while meditating on renewal or just use to remind you that you can start anything again at any time – it invokes positivity.
“Chikitsa” Detox Bath Salt
Soak up the good vibes with our Yogi Surprise blend of detoxifying Himalayan pink salt, nourishing vitamin E oil, exotic lemongrass and sweet orange oil.
Nothing feels more rejuvenating for the mind and body than a warm bath, especially one that detoxes skin and smells uplifting. This bath salt blend will do just that since himalayan pink salt helps detox, cleanse and balance skin. The addition of vitamin E oil will help moisturize and leave skin feeling soft. This blend has a bright citrus scent that will wake you up and help your feel rejuvenated. I love that it comes in a beautiful glass jar that can be recycled or reused too.
Gurus Conservation Bracelet
A twist on the traditional wish bracelet, Gurus conservation bracelet is designed to stay on for a few months, serving as a beautiful reminder to do something small every day to heal Earth.
Wish bracelets are a fun accessory and provide meaning. I like that this one serves as a reminder to take care of our environment, maybe with it a wish that we care for it as we should too. I like that it’s a simple and understated design so once you tie it on there’s no need to take it off until it falls off on it’s own (making the wish come true hopefully). For each purchase of this bracelet a tree will also be planted in a developing community. So a purchase of this will quite literally will help with renewal and rebirth!
PureSol Turmeric Konjac Body Sponge
Detox, cleanse and gently exfoliate your face and body with this all-natural, eco-friendly, super gentle turmeric konjac sponge! Just add water, and enjoy for 1-3 months.
This body sponge is 100% natural and is made from the root of the konjac plant. The edible fiber of the root is steamed and produces these sponges that are super soft and wonderful for gently cleansing skin. Any konjac helps to exfoliate and detox skin but since this one is made with turmeric it will also help reduce inflammation and calm skin too. The sponge seems a bit hard before use but by adding water it softens it up making it ready to use. Since this sponge is all natural it is also biodegradable, which means it’s better for the environment too. I’m curious to see if it deteriorates with use or if it just looses the turmeric power over time? We’ll see!
Sage Smudge Stick
For thousands of years, sage has been used to banish negative energy and offer spiritual protection. To detox your space, burn this smudge stick and release all negative vibes.
Sage is a great tool to help clear things out. From your space to your mind, burning this smudge stick will help you get grounded, so you can think clear thoughts and feel refreshed. It can be used to clear stagnant air or even before a meditation practice to start it fresh. I personally like the smell of sage, although it could be an acquired smell. It’s earthy, warm and nature-y so it’s hard not to feel grounded after experiencing.
Bee-Cause Charcoal & Clay Face Mask
Made with naturally occurring volcanic bentonite clay, activated charcoal and cruelty free raw honey, this pore-clearing mask gently draws out environmental toxins.
This mask is made with three simple ingredients: Organic Raw Honey, Bentonite Clay and Activated Charcoal. The clay and charcoal work together to pull toxins out and purify skin while honey is high in antioxidants that help repair skin and is a natural antibacterial agent. This mask would be great for acne prone skin or anyone looking for a nourishing detox. This mask is ready to apply so no mixing needed. I think this packet would last for at least one mask session and maybe two if you apply a little thinner.
PiperWai Natural Deodorant
PiperWai is a unique creme deodorant formulated with odor-neutralizing, moisture-absorbing activated charcoal. Stay fresh without parabens, aluminum, or synthetic fragrances.
I’ve always wanted to try this deodorant so was pleasantly surprised to find it in this month’s box! I’ve tried a ton of natural deodorants and I especially like ones that comes in stick form because when it’s in a jar application can get a little messy. For this deodorant it’s said you only need a swipe or two for all day sweat protection due to ingredients such as activated charcoal, which removes toxins, neutralizes odor and absorbs moisture. It smells light and refreshing, a bit like mint, a bit like citrus and kind of woodsy too. It would be a good scent for anyone – definitely gender neutral. This stick has 35% more product than their jar version so should last a good amount of time too!
Yogi Surprise Review March 2019 – Final Thoughts
I love spring and all the rebirth that happens! Everywhere you look are signs of a starting anew. If nature wasn’t enough to remind you that you need a refresh too, Yogi Surprise will certainly help put you in that mindset. You can clear your space, face, body and mind with all the tools included. I’m especially excited to give the face mask and deodorant a try – both help pull out environmental toxins that have built up and will leave your skin feeling and smelling fresh. I had previously had my eye on both of these products so I’m glad to get to try them now. I love it when the box almost reads my mind and sends along products I had been wanting to try anyway. Makes for a fun surprise!
