For this month’s theme, our couples will go on a cozy night adventure with our Hygge for Two date night box!
Hygge first appeared in Danish texts at the end of the 19th Century (it was Old Norwegian for “wellbeing”). But it has evolved into something more intangible — something beyond just wellbeing. Some have said hygge wasn’t meant to be translated — it was meant to be felt.
So, it is no wonder that a country that prides itself in its culture of hygge is one of the happiest countries in the world. Even though Denmark has harsh, long, and extraordinarily dark winters (some days have over 17 hours of darkness), hygge keeps spirits bright throughout the cold season.
