Amoda Tea Review: December 2022

December’s box features teas made especially for Amoda by Montreal’s. Thesaurus Tea. The co. made seven teas altogether — four for the box and three more you can order online from Amoda.

The Longest Night · “Raise some festive spirit with this comforting and joyful blend. Black tea is enveloped with citrus earl grey essences and mulled wine spices. The dark amber infusion is robust, warm and inviting with a bit of zest. Add a touch of sweetener, if desired.”

Holiday Breakfast · “A full-bodied black tea is balanced by a light, creamy oolong tea and vanilla. The gently sweet infusion has a touch of natural flavour to make it the perfect breakfast treat for the holidays. Enjoy with a splash of milk. This tea is exclusive to Amoda Tea.”

Holiday Breakfast is exactly the kind of tea I want to drink Christmas morning or any morning, really. I have a sweet tooth so I like a bit of bonbon in my cup and this subtly sweet sipper is smooth as can be. But earl grey and mulled wine aren’t my cup of tea so I’ll tuck The Longest Night in my hubby’s stocking or gift it to a friend.

Small Miracles is as delicious as it sounds and so pretty with all of those pops of red. And I appreciate a high-caffeine tea, especially in the hustle and bustle this time of year. It helps keep me going! Marzipan anything is a hard pass for me so I’m going to gift the last one to a friend who’s a fan. It’ll be lovely alongside the lebkuchen, spritzgebäck, spekulatius and other traditional German cookies her family enjoys every year.
