BuddhiBox Review June 2018

BuddhiBox is a monthly Yoga inspired box that’s based on discovery, union and compassion. Each box contains 4-6 sample and full sized yoga-related products that will inspire your life, workouts and community. Products will be from different categories, including fitness, skincare, and fragrance. You’ll get to try staff favorites, product launches, and more. BuddhiBox believes it’s better to give than to receive, so each month a portion of proceeds from the sale of the boxes is donated to a different charity. They kindly sent us this box for review.

June Box Details

The June BuddhiBox is a soul care package that happens to be packed with some awesome goods. The included info card shares a mantra that is a great theme for the month: “Life is a journey filled with unexpected surprises.”

As I get older I’ve been learning to enjoy those unexpected surprises in life so I’m loving that this month’s box comes with that mantra. I think summer is the perfect time to seek out those surprises, let loose, be more carefree and enjoy the season while it lasts – these products will certainly help you do just that.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s box:

Best Life Media – I’ve Decided to Live 120 Years Book ($20)

The perfect summer read to inspire commitment to your health. Written by one of the most renowned meditation teachers of our time, Ilchi Lee challenges you to radically rethink your ideas on aging, health, personal fulfillment, and what’s possible in your lifetime. Dive right in!

This book really intrigues me and I’m excited to read it. I had a look at the introduction and the writing style was approachable, easy to read and captured my interest. It takes a look at how living a purposeful, meaningful life makes your moments full and inspired. It provides a different viewpoint on aging than society usually projects where life doesn’t end at retirement. The later years of your life can be just as fulfilling or even more so than your early years. Not only is it full of great information, but it also has beautiful pictures, quotes and exercises sprinkled throughout too. I love thought provoking reads and stories that inspire healthier living so this book is a win to me!

Gypsy Soul Organics – Gypsy Woman Solid Perfume ($25)

The must-have scent that captures the romance of a gypsy soul who lives a flowing lifestyle with her roots planted deeply in nature. Smooth sensual floral notes create an aroma celebrating fresh soil, deep forests and warm campfires…Perfect for your summer travels and summer romances.

The provided description above couldn’t be more accurate when describing the scent of this solid perfume. It really is very earthy, with a florally green forest overtone and once it settles, a light and sweet campfire undertone lingers. I’d almost say the scent is a bit medicinal, but not in a bad way at all. Rather, it’s soothing and smells fresh – like the air of pure nature. It’s an intriguing scent made from oils such as jasmine flower, patchouli, rose, bergamot, sandalwood and texas cedarwood to name a few. This might just become my new summer scent! I love solid perfumes because they aren’t messy and are easy to bring with you and apply anywhere so I’m certain I will get a lot of use out of this product.

Paavani Ayurveda – Pitta Cooling Spray ($9)

The summer season is ruled by the Pitta Dosha. This Ayurvedic element is composed by fire and water. With warmer temperatures headed our way, we need to balance our bodies with cooling elements. Paavani’s cooling spray does just that. Take it with you wherever you go. Perfect for a cooling acres-beach spritz!

It has been HOT lately so this cooling spray is definitely needed right about now. It really does cool your skin (and in turn, your mind) upon application. It feels so soothing and would be especially nice after a long day outside. The scent is calming and balancing mix of lavender, sandalwood and peppermint essential oils. I love this product and see getting a lot of use out of it for the rest of this summer.

BuddhiBox – Evil Eye Necklace ($28)

Ward off negative energy with our gold-plated evil eye necklace. A talisman of protection, the “evil eye” has been found in many cultures, dating as far back as 5000 years ago. Our dainty necklace is perfect to layer with your favorite 108 mala necklace. Wear it everyday with the understanding that it promotes happiness, luck, health, and good fortune.

Statement necklaces are nice and all, but I really dig delicate and simple jewelry for everyday wear so this necklace is perfect for me! Not only is it the perfect size, the reminder it carries with it is one everyone should keep at top of mind. I’m all about keeping only those positive vibes around so this necklace will be one of my new regulars for sure.

Kind Lips – Sweet Mint Lip Balm ($28)

Our lips, the ones that need to be cared for every day are the very things that help us care for others too – friends, family, even perfect strangers. Kind Lips balm hydrates your lips leaving them petal soft. And because kindness goes beyond the words we speak, Kind Lips is proud to partner with anti-bullying organizations by donating 20% of sales to their important missions. Now that is Kind.

I have a growing collection of fabulous lip balms and this one fits right in! It smells of invigorating peppermint, is smooth on application and makes my lips feel hydrated and cool. It’s made with all natural ingredients, many of which are organic, so I feel just as good using it as it makes my lips feel! I also really love that they give back to anti-bullying campaigns- very awesome mission.

Motion Matcha – Single Serve Matcha Stick ($3)

“Tea time is a chance to slow down, pull back and appreciate our surroundings.” These nutrient rich Match tea packets will help you do just that, no matter where you are. A great substitute for coffee, mix these single serve packets with your favorite variation of “milk”, for a tasty energy boost.

I don’t actually drink anything with caffeine in it so I likely won’t be trying this, but I do love the idea of matcha and the health benefits it has. Because it has a high level of L-theanine it’s said to help alleviate stress, improve mood and boost cognitive performance.

Palo Santo Incense and Incense Burner

This item wasn’t included on the description card so it feels like a bonus item – and who doesn’t love extras?! The scent of palo santo is so calming to me. I loved opening the box and being hit with it right away. The burner for the incense is beautiful with little gold stars and a sun inlay. I’m looking forward to burning this on the perfect summer evening very soon.

BuddhiBox Review June 2018 – Final Thoughts

This might be my favorite box I’ve received to review yet! The variety and quality of items is outstanding. The value of the box is around $100 so that’s outstanding too! I love all the items included and feel they not only incorporate well with a yoga practice but just life in general too. The items curated are perfect for summertime as they provide a reminder to slow down and care for yourself during this short season of warmth and growth. I cannot wait to see what they come up with for next month!
