BuddhiBox Review June 2020

BuddhiBox is a monthly Yoga inspired box that’s based on discovery, union and compassion. Each box contains yoga-related products that will inspire your life, workouts and community. Products will be from different categories, including fitness, skincare, and fragrance. You’ll get to try staff favorites, product launches, and more. BuddhiBox believes it’s better to give than to receive, so each month a portion of proceeds from the sale of the boxes is donated to a different charity. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Each month you’ll receive a mix of 4 to 6 full-size products from artisans in India, the birthplace of the ancient art of yoga, as well as women-owned businesses in the U.S. All products are cruelty-free, organic, kind to the earth and safe for the artisans creating them. BuddhiBox ships around the 10th of each month & subscribers receive within 5-7 business days. There are 4 subscription options:

  • Monthly: $34.95/month
  • 3 Month: $33.95/month or $101.85 total
  • 6 Month: $32.95/month or $197.70 total

June Box Details

The June BuddhiBox has a wonderful theme: “Suriya – The Sun” and comes with a great quote to inspire that theme:

“Awareness is like the sun. When it shines on things, they are transformed.” -Thich Nhat Hahn

I really love that quote and find great inspiration from it. It reminds me that each new day the sun comes up we are transformed into a new person with opportunities to grow and change. I really like how BuddhiBox always brings mindful inspiration along with it’s selection of goods. This month’s items and theme are perfect for summer and the sunny season we are in.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s BuddhiBox:

White Out Temporary Tattoos | Inked by Dani ($12)

“Express yourself with a temporary tattoo or two! We chose a set that includes images of the sun and other yogic symbols. Use them on your body or to decorate your mug, phone or other surface. Visit inkedbydani.com to read more.”

These are so cute! Sometimes I feel like I’m aged out of wearing something like this, but then I remember you’re only as old as you feel and life is too short to worry about what other people think of you, so these are going to be fun to wear! There are over 20 white tattoos with designs like moons, suns, flowers, a dreamcatcher and other symbols. It’s cool that these can be applied to other surfaces besides skin too. I’m curious how much staying power they have on something like a mug. I’ll have to try that out too.

Peppermint Foot Wipes | Jasmine 7 ($6)

“Whether practicing at home, practicing yoga in the park or at your studio, refresh your feet before stepping on your mat, or after class. Made with all natural ingredients.”

These certainly sound refreshing and soothing for tired feet. They are infused with peppermint oil and camomile along with aloe to hydrate and refresh. I like the convenience factor of these since you can take them with you on the go and easily pop them in your purse or gym bag. I would love if the wipe itself was biodegradable (it doesn’t say anything about it on the packing) since they are single use and can be a bit wasteful. Otherwise, I like these and think they will be really handy!

Mala Necklace ($60)

“Watch for an email with more info on the assorted stones, and the sacred practice of mantra japa (repetition os a sacred word, sound or phrase) and how a 108 mala can support this transforming practice.”

Well this might be one of the prettiest mala necklaces I’ve received so far! Such a beautiful light blue color – very soothing and calming. I’m not sure what the stone is and I don’t know what the other options were to receive, but I’m really glad I got this one! I like the meditative aspect of mala necklaces and really should incorporate them more into my daily life. They are of course good for wearing also and this one would be such a nice statement to add to an outfit.

Chamomile Face Toner | Gypsy Soul Organics ($30)

“If you loved GSO’s face toner in a past box, wait ’til you try this one! Calming Chamomile and soothing Blue Tansy Flowers together with a base of Rosewater, Aloe Vera Leaf, and Witch Hazel Leaf instantly soothes and softens skin. The super-fine heavenly mist is perfect to spritz on clean skin to set makeup, to keep skin dewy and to freshen face throughout hot summer days.”

This toner smells heavenly! It’s an earthy, grounding floral scent that comes from rosewater, chamomile, blue tansy, ylang ylang, patchouli, tangerine and sweet orange peel. It smells like a wonderful refresher for after a hot day. Because of the ingredients included it also sounds like it would calm skin and reduce inflammation so perhaps not only good for skin concerns, but maybe also for sunburn relief too. I look forward to trying this one out!

Mindful Sunset Socks | Toe Talk ($13)

“Whether sunrise or sunset, these socks help to remember the sun and to let its life-giving force help you to stay radiant and mindful.”

Such fun socks! I’ve actually received a handful of these socks through the years from subscription boxes and I’ve never received a duplicate design. I’m glad to have this “mindful” set to add to my collection. I like theses socks because of the messages they include in the designs. They are perfect for everyday wear, but also nice for yoga practice so that every time you are looking down at your feet you are reminded, in this case, to be mindful. I also really like that they also have grippers on the soles to keep you from slipping which is helpful for some inversion yoga poses for sure.

Tea Sampler | Vahdam Teas (Bonus Gift!)

“As a special summer surprise, we want to share these delicious tea samples with you. Use them for hot tea or to make a summer ice tea – we all need a little gift that reminds us to take care, pause for a moment, have a cup of tea. A gift from Vahdam Teas and BuddhiBox.”

How nice to get a bonus item! I love tea so always appreciate it being an included item. These teas all sound delicious and refreshing. It’s fun to get a sampler so several different teas can be tried instead of just one.

BuddhiBox Review June 2020 – Final Thoughts

Summer can be a busy and fast season so I love that the items in this month’s BuddhiBox inspire mindfulness, calming and soothing refreshment. It’s wonderful to have some items that encourage appreciation of the season and of yourself. I love the beautiful mala necklace for it’s meditative, slow-down properties and I also love the body products that encourage self care that while the soothe the skin, also calm the mind. I’m determined to enjoy and relish in every last moment of this season so I’m glad to have gained a few more tools to help me do so!
