Crunchy Mama Box is a curated monthly subscription box that provides natural and eco-friendly self-care to fellow crunchy mamas. They kindly set us this box for review.

Crunchy Mama Box is much more than a subscription box company; they create a community of Mamas that are on a mission to spread love, support, and encouragement. They support women-owned, small, and eco-friendly businesses that make clean, healthy products and that are motivated by a cause.

Each month you’ll receive a carefully curated box that contains 5-8 FULL SIZE products including home items like reusable snack bags or beeswax wraps, self-care items like candles or body care, along with snack items, a beautiful stone with meditation instructions, information regarding the companies behind the products, and more.

They are also passionate about giving back and they donate a portion of each box to a different Cause Partner each month that is working to make this world a better place.

Crunchy Mama Box is $39.99 per month with free shipping. New boxes are shipped on the 3rd of each month and will arrive to subscribers within 2-5 business days after shipping.

June Box Details

The June Crunchy Mama Box theme is “Horizon” and the quote of the month to go along with that theme is “Just beyond the horizon of the so-called ‘impossible’ is infinite possibility.” – Bryant McGill

This month’s Crunchy Mama Box theme is so refreshing. A horizon always reminds me of new days and that we have the ability to keep growing and changing with each one. The items in this month’s box are fun, bright, and of course new. They’ll definitely help encourage a mindset of fresh starts and positivity.

Here’s a look at what’s in this month’s Crunchy Mama Box:

Box Insert

This is such an informational box insert and has a nice layout like a tiny newspaper. On the front it boldly lists this month’s theme along with an inspiring quote and the company’s mission. It also provides information on the Cause Partner that they are donating to this month which happens to be the YWCA of Knoxville & Tennessee Valley for May. The YWCA provides life-saving services to women and their families in times of crisis. What a fantastic organization to contribute to this month. Inside the insert are detailed descriptions of each item including icons for those that are vegan or Leaping Bunny certified. The back page includes information on the stone of the month, how to work with it and a meditation and mantra that align with it’s healing powers.

Willing Beauty Daydream Illuminating Day Moisturizer

This moisturizer sounds so nice and soothing. My skin is always lacking moisture and brightness and this one says it helps both. Specifically it says it helps improve skin’s moisture barrier which is key in maintaining healthy skin so I like that it focuses on that. It’s really lightweight and smells nice too – like a crisp and light floral scent. I’m really particular about what I put on my face so I’ll have to do a bit more research on this one before applying to anything other than my hand for testing.

Bentley Seed Co. Monarch Butterfly Seed Packet

This is a fun find! I love butterflies and would love more of them to come to my yard. These seem really easy to plant too. I hope they can still bloom before the fall. This item is encouraging me to learn further about the monarchs and their migration routes to see if I’m in their area. A great inspiration!

Eco Lips Mongo Kiss Shimmer Lip Balm

I’ve used Mongo Kiss Lip Balm before and I really like it. I had no idea that they came out with a shimmer version. It’s so pretty and fun! Out of the 3 different flavor options I received the “Pixie Dust” “Sherbet” lip balm. It’s a subtle, sheer, iridescent shimmer color and has a delicious juicy fruit scent. It glides on smooth and feels moisturizing. These would be perfect for teens, but I’m still into using it as an adult too! I love that they’re made with natural and organic ingredients so you can feel good about putting it on your lips.

I’ve actually received one of these in a different subscription box so I’m familiar with the brand, but I didn’t know they were based in Iowa which is my home state! How fun! Even though I’ve received one before, the one I got in this box was completely different and unique so it’s great to add to my collection. I really like the teal color that was in my box. It’s one of my fave colors so it’s perfect. I love that these use left over fabrics from the clothing industry and upcycle them into something beautiful and useful. These have a ton of uses, but I’ll likely use it as a headband or hair tie the most.

Eat Makhana Lily Seed Pop Snacks in Tangy Chili Lime

It’s fun to see a familiar brand again this month. A few months back this box contained the Himalayan Sea Salt flavor so I’m excited to try this jazzier varietal this month. These are flavored with lime juice and paprika which sounds so tasty and perfect for summer. These will make a great afternoon snack and would also be perfect for a snack on-the-go.

Turkish Towel

Such a pretty little towel! I love the neutral colors and simple pattern. It reminds me of the sea and beach, both so refreshing. I like the lightweight feel and how it’s still really absorbent too. This would be a great towel for a guest bath or powder room or would even make a nice wrap for a bread basket.

Stone of the Month: Black Moonstone

As usual, I love how Crunchy Mama Box has a stone of the month. It helps me learn more about crystals and their uses and helps me grow my collection of healers. Despite the name, this stone isn’t completely black. Mine has swirls of brown and cream which makes it really interesting and pretty. I like that this stone is a stone of femininity and is associated with the moon, making it a good stone to turn to throughout each cycle. I always appreciate the mantra that comes with each stone sent and how it’s made to be posted in a spot with high viewing as a reminder each day. This month’s says: “I release how I think today should go and accept how imperfectly it happens.” Such a good phrase to start the day with. This one is going on my bathroom mirror right away!

Crunchy Mama Box Review June 2020 – Final Thoughts

Gosh, I just love Crunchy Mama Box. It always has fun little finds and is always packed to the brim with value. They always so mindfully pick a theme and the contents to match it. I appreciate how there is always spiritual guidance too such as mantras, meditations and of course the stone of the month as it’s imperative to take time for that each day (especially as a mom) so the monthly reminder is so wonderful. This month’s Crunchy Mama Box contents were so bright and fun – just like summer. I love the shimmer lip balm and monarch seeds, but of course the towel, lily seed snacks and headband are great too – all perfect for a trip to the beach (whenever we can get there). Of course the towel is too small for a beach towel but it’s got beach vibes and would easily fit in a tote for a multitude of uses. Overall, such a great box this month! I saw the theme for next month is “Solstice” and I’m so intrigued and excited to see what that could bring!
