April Box Details ($86 value)

“The April box theme is: Detoxify & Decompress. Relax. Refresh. Recharge. Repeat. Bring the spa home and treat yourself to a little TLC & sanity.”

I’m all about self-care and having some tools to make that self care feel special now and then. I love baths and find that while they might seem indulgent, they really are a good place to relax and have your senses enveloped in peace. The items in this month’s box create the perfect recipe for a night of relaxation.

Here’s a look at what’s in this month’s Essentials Crate box:

Body Dry Brush ESSENTIAL LIVING ($20)

“Stimulate blood circulation & promote lymphatic drainage with this brush. Use before showering for an intensive exfoliation that clarifies & invigorates the skin. Made with natural, biodegradable sisal fibers & a bamboo ergonomic handle.”

I love dry brushing and although I have a few already, I don’t think you can have too many! It’s nice to have options for bristle stiffness and handle type. This one has the perfect handle with a little rope for hanging by the shower and the bristles are stiff enough that only gentle pressure need be applied. Glad to have this in my collection!

Pomegranate Massage Oil LAURYN’S GARDEN ($18)

“Soothe and moisturize your skin & scalp with this pomegranate massage oil. Its small molecular structure enables it to penetrate the skin while keeping the pores clear. Non-toxic & made in small batches in the US.”

This massage oil is really nice! Perfect for either massages as it says, or use after a bath. It’s lightweight, but also stays on top of skin for a bit before absorbing to allow for massage to be effective. It smells light and fruity like pomegranate for a bright and uplifting experience. It’s also beautifully packaged with the rose petals inside. It would look lovely sitting beside a bath.

Mineral Bubble Bath LAURYN’S GARDEN ($14)

“This luxurious duo of rose petals & mineral sea salts not only makes a beautiful detox soak, but helps to strengthen skin tissue, improve blood circulation, eliminate toxins & balance the skin’s natural pH levels.”

Such a pretty bath salt! I love when florals and petals are included, it makes it look so nice and fancy. This one is simply roses and Dead Sea salt so the soft aroma of rose comes directly from the buds included. This would make for such a calming and beautiful looking bath!

Soy Candle BEVERLY & 3RD ($18)

“Set the mood, light the candle, and enjoy this lovely spa-like scent. Candles are handcrafted with all natural, American grown soy wax & high quality phthalate-free fragrance oils.”

You can’t have a bath experience without a candle so this is perfect! It smells SO good and SO relaxing. The eucalyptus gives it a cool crisp vibe while the jasmine calms with a soft floral.

Candle Wick Trimmer & Snuffer Set ESSENTIAL LIVING ($16)

“Made of durable stainless steel, this wick trimmer helps extend the burn time of your candle, ensure a cleaner burn & prevent soot, while the snuffer helps extinguish the flame and prevent wick smoldering.”

I’ve actually been meaning to look for a set of candle tools like this so it’s perfect that they showed up in this month’s box. I know you can use regular scissors, etc., but it will feel extra fancy and more part of a ritual when using these beautiful gold tools instead.

Essentials Crate Review April 2021 – Final Thoughts

What a fun and beautiful collection of goods this month! I love that Essentials Crate not only delivers eco-friendly items for your home, but also for your personal care needs. I’m in desperate need of a calming and relaxing evening bath ritual so this couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. I really appreciate how each of the boxes they send includes items that are all made for each other and work so well together. Everything included feels like a step in a lovely routine. I can’t wait to put these tools to work for a night time wind down bath.
