July Box Details ($85 value)

“The July box theme is: Clean Vibes. Protect the environment while cleansing your face,
win-win for everybody!”

Another great and very useful theme this month. I’m going to assume most people wash their face so this is a great way to encourage green-ing up that daily routine!

Here’s a look at what’s in this month’s Essentials Crate box:

Silicone Facial Cleansing Device from ESSENTIAL LIVING ($119)

“With 3 cleaning zones & 8 adjustable speeds, this USB rechargeable brush uses sonic, pulsing technology to deep clean & massage your face simultaneously. A single charge lasts months & its silicone design makes this ultra-hygienic & waterproof.”

I have been eyeing this face washing tool and have been wanting to try one so this is an awesome item. It’s super high value (which is great) and seems fun and easy to use. I’ve heard it’s a great way to gently exfoliate and seems like it will feel really nice on the skin too. I like that it’s something that really everyone can use since it’s only a cleansing tool and won’t affect skin the way a moisturizer or something else could. I cannot wait to try this one out!

Organic Reusable Cotton Rounds from ESSENTIAL LIVING ($15)

“These reusable cotton rounds are a simple, yet easy sustainable swap to disposable cotton rounds. Made of 70% organic cotton & 30% bamboo, use to remove makeup, cleanse your face or apply toner. Toss in the mesh bag to machine wash & lay flat to dry. Set of 15.”

These are a staple for any green cleansing routine. I actually have a handful of these already, but I don’t think you can have too many really. I like to use some for makeup removal and others for toner application. It’s nice to have two little batches since the makeup remover ones can get a little stained. These feel really nice and soft, like they’ll be gentle and soothing to skin. I appreciate that these came with a mesh bag for washing too – makes that process easier for sure.

Clarifying Foaming Cleanser from PALMETTO DERMA ($34)

“Boosted with plant actives to soothe & protect your skin, this gentle formula is suited for all skin types and is paraben, sulfate and alcohol free. Aloe vera calms the skin while coconut & sugar derived surfactants gently wash away impurities to restore radiance & glow.”

This sounds like a nice and gentle cleanser. The perfect pairing for the cleansing device above. I don’t often use a foaming cleanser, but this one seems calming and non-drying so I’m curious to try it out. It doesn’t really seem to have much of a scent so that’s great for sensitive skin and noses.

Essentials Crate Review July 2021 – Final Thoughts

I love that this month’s Essentials Crate theme is so niche and all about the specific theme of washing your face. I don’t really know very many people who don’t make face washing part of their daily routine, so this is great for anyone and everyone! I wash my face twice and day and love the ritual it provides. The tools in this month’s box will be fun to try out and incorporate into my routine, especially the new cleansing tool that I’ve always wanted to try. A fresh routine for a fresh face – fun!
