FabFitFun Review Summer 2017

FabFitFun is an AMAZING subscription box that ships quarterly and is filled with the most fab items, hand-picked by the FabFitFun Team! You get to indulge in fashion finds, glam beauty secrets, and fab fitness gear guaranteed to make you feel like a VIP all year-long. They kindly sent us this box for review.

I’m sure you are all familiar with this subscription box by now. They have taken the Facebook world by storm. Every time I’m on Facebook I see another FFF unboxing. They definitely have their marketing strategy down. When people think of subscription boxes I’m sure the first one that comes to mind is FabFitFun. Even more so than BirchBox which is the original subscription box.

Here’s a look at the items we received in the Summer 2017 FabFitFun box….

Michael Stars Ruana ($54)

This gorgeous Ruana is going to be the star of your beach trips. Wear it as a scarf, sarong, or simply drape it like a shawl – either way, you’ll love the versatility of this piece.

Subscribers could have received 1 of 3 different colours of the Ruana – black, blue or a pink/red. I like the versatility of this item. You can wear it year-round. A sarong in the Summer, a shawl in the Spring and a scarf in the Fall and Winter.

BKR Little ($35)

Drink up! This gorgeous glass water bottle will change the way you hydrate forever. Also, the convenient 500 ml size makes it easy to take on-the-go whether you’re traveling or heading to the gym.

This is my favourite item in the Summer box. I was super excited when I saw the spoiler for this one. I have a bit of an obsession with water bottles. I have one with me at all times. I usually take two with me in the car, just so I don’t run out of water.

Cargo Cosmetics HD Picture perfect Highlighter in Bronze ($30)

Glow girl, glow! Formulated for high definition filming, this highlighter will give you a radiant, picture perfect finish, every single time. It’s lightweight, velvety powder formula goes on flawless yet remains invisible to the camera.

This item is going to go over very well with the beauty lovers. I don’t personally wear highlighter, but that’s only because I don’t like to wear makeup. A majority of subscribers will appreciate this product because it is high-performance and from a really great brand.

Juice Beauty Smoothing Eye Concentrate ($29)

Moisturize and soothe any dark circles and fine lines with this eye cream. It has certified organic grape and carrot juices blended with essential fatty acids to hydrate and nourish the eye area.

I am very familiar with Juice Beauty. It just happens to be one of my favourite beauty brands. I have used their face cream and hand cream in the past and was really happy with both formulas. Eye cream is something I usually end up splurging on so I am really happy to see this in the box.

Salted Himalayan Pink Salt Kit ($26)

Impress your friends at your next dinner party! This salt kit comes with a grater, wood stand, and a block of Himalayan Pink Salt. Use it to finish all your best dishes from popcorn to a watermelon salad. Bon appetite.

This season subscribers got to choose between a few different products. This was part of choice number one. Subscribers could have chosen to receive the Salt Kit, an Art Kit, or a Travel Set. I think it’s a really great idea to give subscribers a couple options in each box. The element of surprise is still there with most of the items but being able to choose one or two products gives you the ability to control some of the things you receive.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk

Hair today, even better tomorrow. Your second (and third) day hair just got a major boost. This award-winning dry shampoo with oat milk is loved by celebs thanks to its powerful cleansing action, and natural absorbent microspheres which eliminate dirt, oil and odors. A quick spray and your mane instantly regains volume and texture without white residue.

I’m a HUGE fan of dry shampoo, especially this brand. I switched up my hair care routine a few months back and now only wash my hair every 3 or 4 days. I like to use dry shampoo on day 2 and 3 because I workout every morning and definitely need a little hair boost afterwards.

PS – This was another product subscribers had the option of choosing. It was this or Way of Will Massage Oil.

Kris Nations Mystic Bar Necklace ($58)

This necklace is a gem (literally)! The stones are hand-cut by craftsmen in India and each one has an attribute that helps you live every day with positive intentions.

Subscribers could have received one of three different colours – white, teal, or pink. My necklace is made with Howlite which is a white stone. Apparently it is a wonder stone for calming upset states of mind and emotion. It also decreases an overly critical state of mind, selfishness, stress, and anxiety, bringing calm and relaxation.

Eau Thermale Avene Ultra-Light Hydrating Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 ($24)

Protect and nourish your skin with this sheer, lightweight sunscreen. It contains broad spectrum SPF 50+ UVA/UVB filters and is enriched with powerful antioxidant and soothing Avene Thermal Spring Water. How’s that for hydration?!

Vital Proteins Marine Collagen (sample)

Vital Proteins Marine Collagen is an unflavoured drinkable collagen powder that can be easily added to any beverage, hot or cold, for a healthier complexion and a life of vibrancy. Gluten free, sugar free, and non-GMO, the Marine Collagen Peptides contain 10 grams of natural collagen protein in each serving.

This is our sponsored product for the season and I am actually really excited about it. I’ve been wanting to try this for quite some time. I’ve heard really great things about it.

FabFitFun Review Summer 2017 – Final Thoughts

You really can’t go wrong with FabFitFun. It’s definitely your best bet if you are new to the subscription box world. It’s a really great starter box because the value you receive in each box is amazing, there’s a really nice mixture of products (a little something for everyone), and the brands are recognizable. In regards to the Summer box specifically, I think they did a nice job. The Ruana gives the box a beachy feel, as does the sunscreen. I maybe would have liked to see one other summer-themed item, but other than that I love it. My favourite item is definitely the BKR bottle. I really like to see fitness/health items in the box. The Summer box has a total value of $272 – $287.50, which is really great considering the subscription itself only costs $49.99. FabFitFun will always be my go-to subscription box when making recommendations or giving gifts.

XOXO
