Here’s a closer look at the items I received for the month of December…

Included in every JoahBox is a mini pamphlet detailing all of the products featured each month. You’ll get in-depth descriptions and instructions (in English, of course)!

Bellflower Hibiscus Gel Cream – $15

“Healthy skin and Anti-aging effect by Hibiscus sabdariffa flower extract, Adenosine, Collagen, Rose flower water and peptide.”

Bellflower is a completely new brand to me, and I’m so excited to give them a try! They are a Korean brand that focuses on the quality of their ingredients and they utilize EWG components. This Hibiscus Gel Cream aims to improve wrinkle care and skin elasticity. It contains a handful of skin-loving ingredients like Hibiscus extract, adenosine, and collagen.

Med-Line Gao-Ben F Eye Capsule Serum – $22

“A powerful serum to visually lift and brighten the entire eye area with fermented Gao-Ben extract.”

This eye serum is the kind of product I love to see in Asian beauty boxes! The packaging comes in a cool syringe dispenser and the serum itself consists of miniature capsules! This eye serum is supposed to help reduce and prevent wrinkles. It contains unique and innovative ingredients such as fermented aspergillus/angelica tenuissima root extract. I’ve been using this serum for several weeks now and have only noticed a slight improvement in the appearance of my eye wrinkles, but I expect more results with time.

So Natural – Woo Lip Oil Plumper by Powder4Room – $12

The Woo Lip Oil Plumper is a lip care product that helps to moisturize, hydrate, and plump up the lips. It contains Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract and Menthol, which will give your lips a gentle tingling effect as it plumps up the appearance. Subscribers will receive the lip oil in either Clear Clear or Lovely Pink.

Hong Shot Power Lasting Velvet Tint – $18

Hong Shot is another new K-beauty brand to me, and this one is by the famous Korean singer, Hong Jin Young. I’m unfamiliar with her, but I noticed this brand is from the same company as J.One so I have high hopes! The Power Lasting Velvet Tint is a vibrant lip tint that’s incredibly pigmented with just one swipe. This is the perfect tint to do a gradient lip with! But note, it’s also scented with a very fruity fragrance. Subscribers will receive 1 of 3 possible shades: #Deep Pink, # Real Red or #Vivid Coral.

GH1933 Leave-In Hair Treatment – $14

“It supplies protein to damaged hair with 17 kinds of amino acids such as lysine, histidine, arginine, aspartic acid serine and threonine which are main materials of collagen and elastine.”

If you’re familiar with K-Pop, the creator of GH1933 is actually the main hairdresser for popular boy band, Super Junior! I grew up listening to them in middle school, so this is interesting to me. This leave-in, no-wash hair treatment is comprised of 17 different kinds of amino acids to help nourish your hair keeping it looking healthy and shiny.

Gangbly Jeju Camellia Firming Mask – $2

Last, but not least, the sheet mask of the month is the Gangbly Jeju Camellia Firming Mask. This mask comes saturated in a thick, jelly-like essence containing 1,000ppm of camellia extract. I noticed an improved skin texture and an instant dewy and glowing effect!

JoahBox Review December 2019 – Final Thoughts

Wow – what better way to round up 2019 than with an phenomenal curation from JoahBox! This month totally blew me away and I’m happy to say this is definitely one of their better boxes with a high value worth $83. JoahBox continues to introduce many new brand names, but that’s one of the things I love most about this box. If you’re looking to discover some new K-beauty brands and beauty favorites, I highly suggest giving this box a try.

My favorite items this month is the Med-Line Gao-Ben F Eye Capsule Serum, Hong Shot Power Lasting Velvet Tint, and the Bellflower Hibiscus Gel Cream!
