JoahBox is a beauty subscription delivering 5-7 full size Korean beauty products to your doorstep each month. You’ll see a mixture of popular brands, as well as new/indie beauty brands that are harder to get your hands on in the US. JoahBox kindly sent me their July box to review.

Here’s a closer look at the items I received for the month of July…

July’s Theme – Travel Kit

Included in every JoahBox is a mini pamphlet detailing all of the products featured each month. You’ll get in-depth descriptions and instructions (in English, of course)!

LOVBOD Wonder-full Body Stick – $15

LOVBOD is a new emerging beauty brand focusing on body skincare. Their Wonder-full Body Stick aids in reducing the appearance of sagging skin by firming and lifting the skin. The formula contains more than 97% of plant-based and/or natural ingredients that’s safe for the skin like sunflower seed oil, shea butter, and sweet almond oil.

Koelcia Chic Lock Eyeliner – $14

The Koelcia Chic Lock Eyeliner is a black liquid liner pen with a thin brush tip. I love the brush applicator since it allows me to draw thin and precise lines! It’s not exactly waterproof, but it is resistant to most moisture. I probably would not swim with this on, but it’ll hold up fine in humid weather and sweat!

Glowhill Total Solution Glow Ampoule Pad – $10

I’m pretty disappointed that JoahBox included a repeat from October 2018, but I did enjoy this product. The Total Solution Glow Ampoule Pad from Glowhill comes with 7 individually wrapped pads. I love how convenient these are – just swipe them on and your skin is instantly hydrated and glowing! Plus, they’re perfect for traveling.

ATOCLASSIC Real Tonic Soothing First Toner – $12

The Real Tonic Soothing First Toner by ATOCLASSIC is formulated with 12 Hanbang herbal extracts. It’s a skin friendly toner that’s suitable for all skin types, even those with super sensitive skin! I loved how gentle and calming this felt when applied. It left my skin feeling very refreshed and hydrated. My only gripe is that this is definitely a travel-sized item and not full sized…

I’m Sorry For My Skin 8 Step Travel Jelly Mask – $10

I’m Sorry For My Skin came out with a handy 8-Step Travel Jelly Mask kit! This mask pack comes with all the beauty care essentials you would need for a night. It includes skincare packets containing cleansing oil, a cleansing foam, toner, emulsion, cream, and of course a sheet mask. There’s also a packet for body wash and shampoo for your shower!

JoahBox Review July 2019 – Final Thoughts

This month’s box was a pretty big disappointment, which is very rare for JoahBox! This month contained an item repeat from last year as well as a travel sized item. Though this fits in well with the monthly ‘Travel Kit’ theme, it didn’t fit their 5-7 full-size item promise (there were only 4 full size items this month). These past few months JoahBox hasn’t been skimping on their promised product sizes, which is very disheartening since they’re one of my favorite K-beauty boxes on the market. Hopefully next month JoahBox can deliver!
