Kinder Beauty Box Review February 2020

Kinder Beauty Box is a vegan and cruelty-free makeup, skincare, hair-care and accessories box, curated with kindness and delivered to your door each month! They kindly sent us this box for review.

Each Kinder Beauty Box is packed with $75-$165 worth of carefully-curated, totally cruelty-free & vegan skincare, makeup, hair-care and/or accessories. You’ll get at least two full-size products in each box, and every month they’ll help you discover new brands to fall in love with!

They work to be as eco-conscious as possible with their packaging by shipping in boxes made from 100% recycled materials that are both biodegradable and compostable along with packing materials inside the box that are also made from 100% recycled materials, and even the ink used to print the logo and designs on the outside of the box is an eco-friendly soy-based ink.

A portion of all sales benefits some of their favorite animal rights and environmental causes such as ASPCA, Farm Sanctuary, Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation and Compassion Over Killing.

February Box Details ($89 total value)

There are SO many green and clean beauty brands out there and it can get overwhelming knowing where to start so I love receiving a subscription box that helps narrow it down for me. Kinder Beauty Box is so great for that as it’s a well rounded selection of haircare, skincare, body care and makeup and is great for those who’ve loved green beauty for a long time and also for those just starting to make the transition. This month includes some makeup, a makeup tool, eye care, and a multi-purpose body care item. Really well-rounded if you ask me!

Here’s a look at what’s in this month’s Kinder Beauty Box:

Box Insert

As usual this box insert is always such a pretty design that matches the season. This one is a pretty pink color for Valentine’s. It’s clearly laid out and gives information on items are in the box along with product descriptions and retail pricing. The descriptions include a bit about the ingredients as well as benefits and how to use it.

Bellápierre Mineral Blush in Desert Rose ($20)

“A soft peachy pink, Desert Rose Mineral Blush is a super creamy, non-comedogenic mineral blush that gives you a beautiful, healthy flush. Recommended by make-up artists and dermatologists, these award-winning blushes are talc free, paraben free, and suitable for all skin types and conditions. Application: Tap a small amount of powder into the lid of the product. Using the Blush Brush dip the brush into the loose powder and tap the end of the brush on a surface to remove excess powder and apply to cheek bones.”

I’ve been really wanting to find a new blush to try out and I don’t often get them in subscription boxes so this item is great! Not only that but it’s actually a color I would have picked out myself. It’s a peachy, pink coral color that looks like it would give a hint of sun kissed color. It seems like it has a hint of shimmer too, but not overdone at all. I don’t usually use loose powder blushes because they can be a bit messy and require more control with application, but I’m really interested to give this one a try.

Bellápierre Mini Kabuki Brush ($20)

“This super soft, dense brush distributes product evenly and quickly, making it a staple for any mineral makeup routine. This is a cruelty-free brush, and is made of 100% synthetic fibers that will not shed during makeup application.”

A matching blush brush for the included blush?! This is perfect and helpful. There isn’t really a better way for loose powder blush to be applied than using a brush so it’s almost a required pair. This brush is full and dense yet soft and fluffy too. I will be using this one with the blush for sure.

Evio Beauty Lip Liner Pencil (Val) ($9)

“Lip-spo Liner – A rich, creamy lip liner to enhance or outline your smile. This velvety formula glides effortlessly along your lips for a perfectly defined pout. Val is a perfect neutral nude shade that is flattering to all skin tones. Wear alone for a matte lip or layer your favorite Evio Lip-spo gloss on top for a dewy finish. Our 100% natural formula is ethical and environmental, PEFC & ICEA Certified and made with sustainably managed forests and controlled sources.”

Anytime I wear lipstick I think to myself how it would be nice to have a lip liner and that I really need to get one and voila, Kinder Beauty Box heard my thoughts and delivered! This lip liner is the perfect neutral lip color that I’m thinking would work for many different lip colors and since it’s an understated color I think it would pair well with many different lipstick colors as well. I’d describe it as a warm mauve or dusty rose color. I like how well it glides onto skin, it’s soft and easy to apply. Can’t wait to test out the wear of this one.

LXMI Pure Nilotica Melt ($28)

“The Pure Nilotica Melt is made from a single, pure ingredient: 100% organic, cold-pressed Nilotica. This luxuriously rich balm-to-oil is LXMI’s signature skin superfood. The buttery formula melts instantly upon application, delivering fatty acids vitamins A, E and allantoin to hydrate, brighten, and protect skin-even reversing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Use this multi-tasker as an overnight face mask, makeup remover, hand cream, hair treatment or on dry patches where needed.”

I so need this right now! My skin is so dry and parched from the winter air and there isn’t much that soothes it. I’m hoping this thick and rich moisturizer will help. It’s made of 100% organic Nilotica Shea Butter which comes from an heirloom subspecies of shea nut. Even though it’s rich, it’s soft and creamy and spreads onto skin nicely. It is thick so it leaves a bit of a layer on the skin but when your hands are dry that’s what’s necessary. I like that it’s a single ingredient product that doesn’t have any scent. This would be great for an overnight treatment.

Little Moon Essentials Passion™ Mist ($5)

“Passion™ mist is an energizing adventure in spicy sensuality for your body, mind and soul. This tangerine and cinnamon scented mist enhances any special romantic evening and helps relieve tension for two, or just for you! Shake well. Spray liberally on your face, body and surroundings. Inhale deeply. Use as often as necessary to nourish your body into renewed energy.”

The perfect aroma for Valentine’s month! It’s an aroma mist that’s intended to relieve tension and enhance passion. It smells so good. It’s spicy and warm and a hint earthy. It’s a really nice mood uplifter that of course can be used to spice up your love life but also just to warm up a cold winter morning too. I really like aroma mists because they have so many uses so this is a fun one to add to my collection.

100% Pure Bright Eyes Mask ($7)

“Highly caffeinated eye mask brightens and de-puffs. Extremely hydrating, quenches thirsty skin with blast of water delivered to dehydrated skin cells. The mask material “hydrogel” is composed from 95% organic aloe water and 5% plant cellulose made to intensely hydrate. The longer you leave the mask on your skin, the thinner the hydrogel mask becomes because the water gets absorbed. The hydrogel assists in delivering active ingredients onto your skin.”

Oh yay! I’ve been wanting to try these for so long but just hadn’t gotten around to purchasing them yet so this item is awesome to receive. I’ve seen so many bloggers rave about them so I’m excited to put them to the test. They are so simple to use and I’ve heard they feel soothing to the under eye skin. I’m plagued with dark circles and puffiness so it would be great if these could help reduce that a bit. Pair these with a calming mask and you’ve got a perfect little self-care sesh.

Kinder Beauty Box Review February 2020 – Final Thoughts

I love this month’s Kinder Beauty Box contents! I think this might be my favorite collection yet! It’s the best when items show up that you’ve been wanting to try or that you’re needing to purchase because the box really shows it’s extra value then. I can’t wait to try the blush, lip liner and eye masks. Not to say I’m not excited about the Nilotica melt, because I am. I’ve already tried that one though and so far it’s great! Overall this is a fantastic collection of goods that’s full of items from different beauty categories. That’s one thing I really like about Kinder Beauty Box, that they always send such a great variety. It keeps me guessing and wondering what will possibly come next month?!
