Kinder Beauty Box Review September 2019

Kinder Beauty Box is a vegan and cruelty-free makeup, skincare, hair-care and accessories box, curated with kindness and delivered to your door each month!

Each Kinder Beauty Box is packed with $75-$165 worth of carefully-curated, totally cruelty-free & vegan skincare, makeup, hair-care and/or accessories. You’ll get at least two full-size products in each box, and every month they’ll help you discover new brands to fall in love with!

They work to be as eco-conscious as possible with their packaging by shipping in boxes made from 100% recycled materials that are both biodegradable and compostable along with packing materials inside the box that are also made from 100% recycled materials, and even the ink used to print the logo and designs on the outside of the box is an eco-friendly soy-based ink.

A portion of all sales benefits some of their favorite animal rights and environmental causes such as ASPCA, Farm Sanctuary, Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation and Compassion Over Killing.

September Box Details ($70.98 total value)

There are SO many green and clean beauty brands out there I love receiving a subscription box that helps narrow it down for me. Kinder Beauty Box does just that as it’s a well rounded selection of haircare, skincare, body care and makeup and would be great for those just starting to make the transition.

Here’s a look at what’s in this month’s box:

Box Insert

The box insert is such a pretty design and clearly indicates what’s in the box along with product descriptions and retail pricing. The descriptions include a bit about the ingredients as well as benefits and how to use it. I like the size of this one and how the product imagery stands out so it’s easy to follow and read.

Dear Self I Am Gleaming Moisturizer ($30)

“Soothe, firm, and heal the skin with this luxury vitamin C, E and A enriched moisturizer. I Am Gleaming provides a healthy glow while layering on a host of anti-aging & anti-sun damage super stars.”

This is a rich, yet light, facial moisturizer for glowing, healthy skin. It has added vitamins for nourishment and oils like jojoba and rose hip to soothe and hydrate skin. It smells so good! Maybe like a warm floral? It’s made with ylang ylang extract and bergamot oil so the scent comes from those I’m guessing. I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s soft and relaxing and would be a great aroma to apply before bed.

Andalou Naturals Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk ($2.99)

“Fruit stem cell complex, resveratrol, CoQ10 and skin-friendly probiotics blended with apricot and borage oils gently loosen and remove make-up and impurities, rinsing away dull surface cells without drying for a fresh glow and a rejuvenated complexion.”

I’ve heard that probiotics can be a great addition to a skincare routine so I’m intrigued to try this. Probiotics can help maintain healthy skin flora and prevent bad skin microorganisms from increasing inflammation. The other ingredients add to healthy skin too- fruit stem cell complex and resveratrol reduce inflammation, while CoQ10 reduces the damage from free-radicals. This trial size face wash will actually last a long time so it will be plenty enough washes to determine if I like it.

Dr. Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask ($17.99)

“Dr. Botanicals is a London-based brand that uses 100% natural ingredients in their skincare and body washing products. This sleeping mask is a perfect hydrating overnight treatment for thirsty dull skin. Among other things, it contains pomegranate, which is bursting with skin-healthy antioxidants.”

I’ve never tried an overnight mask before so this product sounds interesting to me! I guess it’s essentially like a night cream, but I’m still curious how it preforms. The directions suggest storing it in the fridge to maintain freshness. I think that applying a cool mask right before bed sounds relaxing and so refreshing so I’d for sure follow those instructions.

Tired Old Ass Overcome Exhaustion Mist ($5)

“This facial mist is an astringent and stimulating mist used to give your ass a break after harrowing workdays, demanding deadlines, excessive exercise and any bad energy that may come your way. The strong, nourishing essential oils spark up the brain and juice up the body, leaving you feeling strong and full of energy again. So what are you waiting for? Get off your ass and give this mist a try!”

This is a great little mister for using any time you need a pick up. It’s the perfect size for popping in your purse or bag so you’ll have it whenever you need it. You just spritz it around you and let the aroma relax your senses. It smells calming and grounding. I’d say it’s a warm scent that’s a bit woodsy, yet also has a cooling hint as well. The aroma comes from eucalyptus, rosemary, vetiver and peru balsam oils.

EVOLVh Ultrashine Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner Travel Size Duo ($15)

“This luxurious shampoo and conditioner duo visibly smoothes, increases shine & elasticity while transforming texture to youthful softness and improving hair health. Ideal for all hair types, this beloved duo balances pH levels and includes amazing natural ingredients like wild pansy, seet clover and apricot extracts plus amino and fatty acids which are essential for strong, silky, healthy hair.”

I’ve tried a leave-in conditioner from this brand before and I really liked it so I can only assume that this shampoo/conditioner duo will be great as well. They are made with a ton of natural ingredients (a nearly clean ingredient list) that are intended to give hair max shine. I need that for sure as my hair can get dull and dry, especially in the winter. These smell great too, like a soft and slightly floral grapefruit I think? Even though they are trial size, I think these should last at least 5 washes which is a good amount of time to decide if you like it before purchasing the full size

Kinder Beauty Box Review September 2019 – Final Thoughts

I received my first Kinder Beauty Box this month and it’s great! Because it was near the end of the month I think I saw that they sold out of the original box so the contents I received were different than expected. That’s definitely not a bad thing though! It seems like they are a few picks from month’s past. I saw on their website that sometimes they have some “one off” boxes available for purchase that contain past collection items so I’m thinking that’s what this was. Anyway, the contents were a wonderful surprise and I look forward to using them all. I like that it’s a mix of full size and trial size items so that there is a good variety and number of items. This is a great subscription box to get if you’re looking for cruelty-free and vegan beauty!
