This month’s Look Fantastic Beauty Box came with a discount code for two 30% off coupons (one for subscribers, one for a friend) for ocado, a UK online supermarket. Which obviously I can’t use, but I don’t know that I would if I could. I like grocery shopping. Well alone, anyway. (My kids are MISERABLE at the grocery store.)

Each Look Fantastic Beauty Box opens with an attractive 20-page brochure printed on matte, almost card-stock quality paper. Along with the guide to the contents, November’s issue includes a primer on kaolin clay, suggested face mask + TV show pairings and a peek at one of the products in December’s box. It’s like a mini magazine. I can’t say I read it cover to cover but I always learn something from it. (Did you know skin takes up to 28 days to renew? I didn’t. I’m sure I’ve given up on products before they’ve had a chance to work.)

Behind the scenes with the my little shoot supervisor.

Dr Botanicals Hemp Infused Natural Nutrition Moisturiser

“Infused with hemp seed oil and cocoa butter, this day moisturiser protects, nourishes and hydrates the complexion. Containing 2% hemp seed oil, this whipped moisturiser provides essential fatty acid that help provide the skin with essential vitamins and minerals.” ($20.50)

My few experiences with moisturizers have always led to breakouts so I’ll gift this one to someone else. I know there must be products that will work for me but until there’s one in the box that’s formulated for acne-prone skin, I’m passing.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (Riche)

“In just one step, achieve nourished, softer and comfortable skin. Combining intense nutrition with a subtle fragrance, this rich oil nourishes, repairs and leaves a satin finish. Able to be used on face, body and hair, this multi-use oil is a cold weather saviour.” ($7.69)

Even more than a thick cream, something about body oil feels super pampering to me. This one has a light floral scent I really like and it absorbs into the skin faster than any one I’ve tried, making it great for anyone who tends to get their pampering sessions cut short by kids, phones, doorbells or otherwise.

ESPA Smooth & Firm Body Butter

“Lather the body in this nourishing body butter, leaving skin soft and supple. Enriched with hydrating larch and pumpkin seed extract, this body butter deeply moisturises and evens skin tone. Delicately fragranced with rose, patchouli and mandarin essential oils, indulge in a moment of self-care with this body butter.” ($14.23)

This body butter feels sooo luxurious. I’d like a vat of it, please. And I love LOVE the scent. Reminds me of a high-end spa. I just put some on my hands and I keep pausing here to smell them. (pause) Yep, they still smell good.

Oh! Wait a sec …

… Ha ha that’s better. 😂

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray

“Get a great night’s sleep with this pillow spray — proven to help you fall asleep quicker and wake up feeling refreshed. Infused with a superblend of lavender, vetivert and chamomile, this pillow spray helps to calm mind and body — soothing you to sleep.” ($13.67)

I have a larger size of the spray that was gifted to me a while back and I really like it. (My hubby not so much, so I only use it from time to time.) The scent is super relaxing and feels so fresh and clean.

So Eco Konjac Sponge

“A sponge made from vegetable fibres of the Konjac plant, this 100% biodegradable sponge helps to gently cleanse and exfoliate with every use. Designed to help balance the pH of the skin, this sponge is suitable for all skin types.” ($11.96)

I use a charcoal mask on my T-zone all the time (charcoal is supposed to be particularly good for oily skin) so this sponge is a keeper.

SKIMONO Beauty Hand Mask for Intense Nourishment

“Designed for hardworking hands, this unique mask soothes and moisturises. A unique bio-cellulose glove inspired by a multi-layered kimono, this hand mask is saturated in a formula rich in shea butter, aloe vera and hyaluronic acid to promote supple and smooth skin.” ($17.07)

My paws get so dry in the winter months so they could definitely use some extra special treatment. And I’ve never used a hand mask so I’m glad to see one in the box.

November’s Look Fantastic Beauty Box is valued at $85.12 — a lot of bang for your buck this month with a thoughtfully curated box of luxurious, full- and good-sized products. (I say good-sized because there’s enough product in the smaller items to try long enough to figure out if you like it, unlike some samples where you can pop a vein trying to squeeze out a pea-sized amount.) I feel pampered!

What do you think of November’s box? Have you tried Look Fantastic Beauty Box or any of this month’s products?
