Merkaela is a seasonal subscription box that aims to make your self-care & spiritual practice easy to experience. They kindly sent us this box for review.
Each quarter Merkaela will deliver a beautifully curated collection of their all-natural health and wellness products that are made on-site with ingredients you can pronounce and know. They are made with you in mind and formulated to nourish your body, your mind and your spirit.
Each collection is built on a theme and includes wellness products, thought-provoking content and music — everything you need to be on your way to a holistic approach to a clear mind, body and spirit.
They are committed to sustainability and craft all of their products responsibly. This means they minimize their carbon footprint by making eco-friendly and recyclable packaging choices for their products and for shipping materials, they ethically source their product ingredients from all over the world and they also donate a percentage of their proceeds to water infrastructure and environmental programs.
Subscription Details
There are several Merkaela subscription options with differing budgets in mind:
Soap Box: $18/quarter Every quarter you will receive a selection of handmade soaps that will support your wholistic lifestyle. All soap bars are made in small batches with organic oils infused with herbal botanicals and essential oils.
Essentials Box & Essentials Vegan Box: $35/quarter or $128/annually The Essentials Box contains 3-5 items and supports your meditation practice.
Deluxe Box & Deluxe Vegan Box: $65/quarter or $240/annually The Deluxe Box contains 6-9 items and includes products for both your self-care rituals and meditation practice.
Shipping is not included and is an additional charge. Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska is an additional $10 and to Canada is and additional $20 to cover the extra shipping costs. Current quarterly subscriptions ship in March, June, September & December. New subscribers will be shipped the current box (if it’s not sold out) with in a week of subscribing.

Here’s a look at what’s in the spring box:
Box Insert
The box insert is always so helpful and informational. In the included envelope is the insert itself which shares the theme, an inspiring quote related to the theme, product names, product usage and information, product pricing, an affirmation and a link to the seasonal meditation. The envelope also includes a card that has the link to the meditation on it as well as a little wallet sized card with the affirmation on it too, which this season is: “I honor the sacred body in which my soul resides. It is my right to be joyful and find pleasure. Deep at the center of my being dwells an infinite well of love.”
Palo Santo ($5.00)
“The delightful aroma of Palo Santo invites a sweet, calming environment. Use to transmute the energy of a space, restore the aura, and elevate the mood. An excellent aid during meditation practice. Sustainably sourced & ethically wildcrafted.”
I just love the smell of palo santo, it’s so unique, soothing and grounding. I could really use some aura-restoring right about now, so I’ll be putting these to use right away. I appreciate that these are sustainably sourced too.
Love Potion Meditation Elixir ($18.50)

I love adding to my collection of meditation elixirs that they’ve sent. I don’t have any like this one yet so it’s the perfect addition. It’s very floral, but it a good way, as it’s made with ylang ylang, chamomile, jasmine, and lavender. This will be great for some self-love meditation sessions, or even to use for a quick spritz as a nice way to start the day on a self-loving note.
Herbal Milk Salt Bath ($14.00)

Oh my! This smells so good I want to go take a bath right now! It has a rich and soft, almost creamy aroma with hints of bright florals too. It’s made with essential oils of ylang ylang and vanilla so that would make sense. It includes skin nourishing ingredients like coconut milk, comfrey, oats and calendula along with salts like sea and epsom to gently detox.
Sacred Womb Herbal Tea ($8.50)
“A traditional herbal medley. The Sacred womb herbal supports a healthy reproductive system, menstrual balance function, and eases menopausal symptoms. The combination of flowers, fruits, and leaves achieves a balanced tonic for health and happiness. Rich in iron, this profusion of ingredients includes raspberry leaf, vitex, nettles, linden flower, and cinnamon. Ok, this is the perfect tea for me! I’ve been working on some hormone balancing and this seems like the perfect companion. It smells SO amazing – herbal-y with a low floral note and a spicy hint of cinnamon. It sounds like it will be warming and calming. I can’t wait to brew up a cup and also see if it improves anything health-wise for me.
Delicate Aloe Handmade Soap ($9.50)

I love handmade soaps so much and appreciate that they always include one. This one is made with lavender and rosemary essential oils for an herbal/floral scent that’s grounding and calming to the senses while the added aloe is calming for the skin. I never want to use these beautiful soaps, but they really do make for a nice shower experience.
Field of Flowers Body Butter ($30.00)

Our herbal extract infused oils such as Shea, Jojoba, and Babassu; will further deepen your botanical experience. Providing the body with the deep hydrating nourishment and essential nutrients it craves at the deepest levels.”
Their body butters are just the best so I love when they are included (which is most of the time)! This one is made with herbal extracts of rose, chamomile, lavender, jasmine, calendula and licorice along with essential oils of ylang ylang, geranium, lavender and lavandin. It smells like the most lovely flower garden on a warm sunny day. It’s bright, warm, a bit sweet, and oh-so-soothing. I’ll be using this one all summer long!
Merkaela Deluxe Box Review Spring 2021 – Final Thoughts
Merkaela is always such a delight! I really just love everything about it each time it’s sent. The products are so beautifully crafted, they smell amazing and are perfectly packaged too. I love the rituals they inspire and the space this box helps create for self-care and connection. This month’s collection is perfect for inspiring spring time rebirth and self-love with it’s floral themes woven throughout. I can’t wait to give it all a try!
