“We deem Irina Ivanova the godmother of luxurious, sustainable, plant-based skincare rituals and have the pleasure this month of speaking with her, taking a peek into her formulations as well as her beautiful brand’s ethos and why it was founded in the first place. Read it at: nourishbeautybox.com/blogs/article”

The highlighted brand this month is Purfect and they introduce their brand new product to subscribers. This brand popped up last month but I’m glad they are the featured brand this month so I could learn more about them through the interview post as I’d never heard of them before finding their product in this box. Read on to see what their new product is!

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s Nourish Beauty Box ($98.99 Total Value):

Nourish Naturals Creamy Vegan Stain In “Flesh” ($22)

“A lip & cheek cream enriched with shea & kokum butter as well as marshmallow root extract for focused hydration as well as to provide blendable, buildable color.”

I really like the color of this lip and cheek stain. I feel like the name is misleading and also a bit weird being called flesh, but it is a perfect warm, deeper peach/bronze color. I like cosmetics in this color as I feel like it brightens up and warms complexions. I also like that this is a dual product so it will be extra useful.

Purfect White Truffle Hydrating Face Cream With Blue Light Protection ($45)

“Formulated with b.circadina natural active ingredient derived from le spedeza capitata (bush clover), that helps to reduce blue light-induced skin fatigue.”

This is a super interesting concept for skincare. I’ve seen similar type blue-light skincare only a handful of times and it might be something that comes more into the spot lot in the future due to all the screen time we all absorb (literally). I was so glad to read more about this brand in the featured interview this month and also to find out that this is their brand new product. I don’t even think it’s available for purchase yet so it’s fun to get an exclusive first look. I wasn’t really in the market for a new moisturizer, but I’m intrigued by it’s claims so I’ll likely give it a try.

Rain Botanica “I Am Enough” Facial Oil ($34)

“Made with organic, cold-pressed and unrefined pumpkin seed, evening primrose, argan & meadowfoam seed oils to restore and maintain the skin’s natural moisture barrier.”

I love the name of this face oil! It makes for a good reminder of metal self care while you’re doing skin self-care. It’s made simply with ultra nourishing organic oils and I appreciate their promise to brighten skin and restore the moisture barrier. It smells nutty, earthy and a bit warm, with the aroma coming only from the oils themselves. The whole product itself feels like a cozy hug, so this would be perfect for winter skin tending.

Meraki Botanicals Flora Mist ($17)

“A fine, soft mist that calms skin and hydrates hair with aloe vera as well as lavender, rose & neroli hydrosols.”

I like seeing this brand as a familiar one from another box as I enjoyed their other product I’d received. This Flora Mist smells just so lovely, a bright and earthy floral. I always love neroli so anything that includes it is an automatic favorite. I appreciate all-over mists since they are so versatile. This could even be used as a meditation elixir since it smells so grounding and uplifting.

Nourish Beauty Box Review December 2021 – Final Thoughts

This month’s Nourish Beauty Box is a nice one to end the year on! I wouldn’t say this is my very favorite box I’ve received from them and nothing feels extra winter-y except maybe the face oil, but still, the selection is nicely varied and provides several fun things to try out. I think I’ll get the most use out of the Flora Mist and Lip + Cheek stain, but the other two products will be fun to experiment with. Winter is a great time to tend more to the skin since it can get try and funky, so the inclusion of two moisturizing type products will definitely be welcome for many people. I’ve been reviewing this box for so long and have had a fun year of reviewing for 2021. I can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeve for 2022!
