March Box Details

“We featured Diana Moebius and her beautiful brand, La Bloom Beauty in our July 2019 box and learnt so much about the brand’s humble beginnings and empowering business objectives, Today we’re thrilled to announce our second affiliation with La Bloom Beauty for March’s curation. Let’s catch up with Diana on her entrepreneurial journey and beauty line expansion thus far.”

This is the second La Bloom product I’ve received in this box so it’s fun to be able to read further about the company and the founder now that I’m familiar with the brand. I like that each month Nourish Beauty Box highlights one of the brands and puts together this article so you aren’t just using the product, but learning why they do what they do!

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s Nourish Beauty Box ($65 Total Value):

Nourish Naturals Cocoa Glaze In “Stillness” ($16)

“Helps to heal chapped lips with its 100% vegan base of rich plant oils, cocoa & shea butters and vitamin e while delivering intense hydration and soft, subtle color.”

I’m always curious of what color of lip gloss will come in this box each month. Awhile back they started including a new color in each box so I’ve got quite the collection going by now. This month’s color is a bit of a neutral honeyed caramel color. It’s not a color I would generally choose or wear, but I could see it enhancing the natural lip color nicely if applied lightly. It’s got a good level of gloss to it and this one has no shimmer. The only downside to these lippies (which I’ve said before) is that I don’t totally love the sugary berry scent it has.

Peony Cosmetics Shadow Trio ($18)

“A highly pigmented palette of 3 deep, after-dark shades in a nourishing, natural base that keeps it blendable and velvety smooth.”

Continuing with the neutral theme comes this shadow trio. It’s a mini eyeshadow palette with three neutral colors in the browns family: cream, brown and copper. They are all shimmery with a hint of sparkle too. These could obviously be worn alone, but are clearly meant to be worn together. They blend so nicely and really complement each other. This set is really compact, so it would be easy to pack for travel or in your purse for midday touchups. Unrelated, but I love the packaging on this items – so fun, bright and colorful!

Klei Beauty Coconut Milk & Rice Bran Cleanse Foaming Face Wash Mini ($12)

“Gently cleanses the skin and clears build-up in pores without stripping the skin barrier. Besides increasing blood circulation for improved collagen production.”

I have been eyeing this brand so I’m so excited to find this product in this month’s Nourish Beauty Box! It’s a dry powder cleanser that says it foams when you add water to it. It’s made with things like rose clay, white clay, SCI (a coconut oil-based cleanser), coconut milk powder, rice bran and chamomile powder. You just add water until it forms a paste and then apply in circular motions to the face, followed by rinsing with water. It’s gentle and good for any skin type. I’m so intrigued by this one and can’t wait to try it.

La Bloom Beauty Hair Refresher ($19)

“A lightweight powder formula that easily absorbs oil and leaves hair bouncy and shiny. More importantly, it’s also aerosol-free, paraben-free and talc-free!”

This is the first dry shampoo/hair refresher I’ve found in a subscription box so it’s a fun item to receive. I’ve tried this brand before through this subscription box, but it was totally different, so it’s also fun to find another item from the family this month. This hair refresher is made with arrowroot powder, provitamin B5 powder, zinc oxide powder, aloe vera powder, rhassoul clay powder and eucalyptus essential oil. It smells light and refreshing and is super easy to dispense and apply – you just pump directly onto roots and massage in. I rarely wash my hair every day so this one will come in handy for sure.

Nourish Beauty Box Review March 2020 – Final Thoughts

This is my favorite recent Nourish Beauty Box selection that I’ve received because it contains two brands I don’t normally find in this box, and both items are items I like and want to try right away. I like the surprise brands each month since there are often repeat brands with this box, it keeps it fresh and interesting. Plus, as usual the collection all together is eye catching and the items all coordinate and look so pretty. There’s something about a thoughtfully curated bundle of goods that just lifts my mood and makes me happy. Nourish Beauty Box always does a good job at making the selection feel like art, but especially with this month’s finds. It feels very bright and spring-y and puts me in the mood for the season ahead!
