“We’re super excited to be able to speak with Emily Bowman who with her innovative brand Lovesong Beauty, has managed to reinvent the way we look at dry shampoos and hair treatments. Here’s here story on how she came up with the idea for a cleaner, more nourishing way of handling our precious tresses. Read it at: nourishbeautybox.com/blogs/article

Oh I’m so excited to see Lovesong Beauty again in this month’s Nourish Beauty Box and also as this month’s featured brand! I had recently purchased something from them on my own and then found their other products in last month’s box. I really enjoy their products and and so happy to read more about the brand. These interviews are always a highlight of the box experience!

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s Nourish Beauty Box ($224 Total Value):

Wyld Flower Labs Omega Cleanse ($35)

“A sensorial gel cleanser crafted with organic oils such as hemp seed oil, olive oil, coconut oil and castor seed oil that not only help to remove oil-based makeup, but gently lathers to leave skin feeling clean and hydrated.”

This sounds like such a lovely and gentle cleanser. It smells like a soft, herbal, floral and is soothing to the senses too. I like the idea of a nourishing and non-drying gel cleanser. I haven’t used one in awhile so I’m curious to try this out.

Seraphine Botanicals Black Tea + Verbena Brightening Firming Oil Serum ($85)

“Formulated with 24 phyto-active ingredients such as sweet almond, rape seed, apricot and olive oils to strengthen your skin barrier.”

The serums from Seraphine are always so beautiful. I love the bottles and colors and their scents. This serum is an ombre of blue to greenish in the bottle (hard to capture in the photos) and smells like blue tansy with some earthy undertones (from cypress, sweet basil and cedarwood oils). I’m always curious to try brightening products and appreciate that this one especially helps with building the skin barrier since that’s key to glowing skin.

Lovesong Beauty Weightless Leave-In Conditioner ($36)

“Nurtures and invigorates hair with its blend of evening primrose oil, jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil and shea butter fruit.”

I’m so glad to see another Lovesong product this month! They sent the dry shampoo gel last month and have sent their other product in the product line this time. I actually already own it as I had bought it after being influenced on IG, but I’m so glad to have a back up for when I run out. It’s a great product that I’ve been using to smooth my wavy hair for air drying along with my usual salt spray. A little goes a long way so this little bottle should last a long time. The smell is one I couldn’t put my finger on without looking at the label. It’s a sweet floral-esque aroma, but with a bit of herbal earthiness I think? The ingredients say it’s green tea, rose, jasmine and vanilla so I was right, but still don’t think I can explain the scent well. Anyway, this is a great product and I’m glad it was in this month’s box.

Evolue Hydrating Serum ($68)

“A unique formula with high, low, and super low molecular weight hyaluronic acids that protect, hydrate and repair. this serum improves the skin’s natural balance and plumps where skin is lacking in hydration.”

I’m always focused on keeping my skin hydrated after an esthetician told me that was a skin issue I had. So any products that promote extra hydration, while also being lightweight and made with simple ingredients like this one get my attention. I look forward to trying this one out in my skincare routine.

Nourish Beauty Box Review November 2021 – Final Thoughts

As always, this month’s Nourish Beauty Box was a good one! And the value was excellent! I was so happy to see some familiar brands, especially Lovesong which is new-ish brand that (from the brand interview) sounds like it has exciting product expansions coming soon which was fun to learn. I don’t love when two serum like-products are in one month’s box, but the two this month almost seem like they could be used together or like a morning/night kind of thing so it’s ok. I like that the serums were balanced with a cleanser and hair product. Overall, fun discoveries and products to try this month!
