April Box Details ($111.90 total value)

“The April Beauty Box: Beauty-FULL Ways to Love Our Planet. This month’s box is all about eco-conscious beauty discovery from ingredient sourcing to innovative packaging. You’ll find a nourishing Avocado + Algae Mask from Plant Based Beauty who are dedicated to minimizing their environmental impact by using ethically sourced organic ingredients and conscious package designs. Also, Brilliant Black Organic Charcoal Toothpaste from Terra and Co. packaged in an alternative recyclable tube made from sugar cane, plus 5 more amazing products that show mother earth we care.”

Here’s a look at what’s in the April Vegancuts Beauty Box:

Plant Based Beauty – Avocado + Algae Mask ($22)

“Plant Based Beauty is dedicated to minimizing its environmental impact by using ethically sourced organic ingredients and conscious package designs. Not only is this face mask packaged in a recyclable jar, but everything included is upcyclable.”

Face masks are my favorite thing to find in subscription boxes so this is awesome! This one is so pretty with it’s rich green hue from the simple ingredients of avocado, moringa and spirulina powders. I love that this one is clay-free so it will be extra gentle and nourishing, while still helping to detox and brighten skin.

Terra And Co. – Brilliant Black Organic Charcoal Toothpaste ($10)

“This eco-friendly toothpaste is sustainably made in the U.S.A. with only plant-materials, completely non-toxic, and packaged in a recyclable tube made from sugar cane which is 70% less fossil fuels than traditional petroleum-based plastic.”

I’ve been wanting to try out this toothpaste so I was excited to find this! After they sent this brand’s floss several months ago I put this toothpaste on my list of things to try so I’m glad to be able to try it out now. I’m intrigued by it’s whitening power and find the charcoal color to be unconventional and fun.

PATCH – Natural Bamboo Strip Bandages : Activated Charcoal or Aloe Vera ($2.99)

“PATCH puts extensive thought into the sustainable production of the products from the materials to the packaging as well as planting over 20k trees to offset carbon. These bamboo bandages are 100% compostable from the packaging to the bandage.”

I love these bandages! And my daughter does too! Out of the two options, I received the Aloe Vera which is great because the charcoal is what I’ve bought before so it’s fun to try the other version. These are the most skin-safe and earth-friendly bandages out there so they’re perfect to highlight earth month. I also appreciate this item because it’s more of a personal care item than is normally included and is very useful and handy.

Owl In A Towel – Bergamot Hand Cream ($9)

“Owl In A Towel utilizes innovative packaging with all their products and sustainability is the main focus at every level of the production process. This Bergamot Hand Cream does not contain any synthetics and is packaged in a recyclable sugar cane tube.”

My hands are often dry, and during these times with more hand washing, they’re even drier so this is a great product. I love the consistency, not too runny and not too rich, and it absorbs into skin nicely. It smells lovely too – a light citrus with a hint of floral undertone. I’ll be keeping this nearby for frequent use!

Derma E – Microdermabrasion Scrub ($8.12)

“Derma E is constantly striving to lessen its impact on the environment. All packaging is recyclable and 100% of conventional electricity used is offset with wind energy certificates. Every purchase supports various environmental organizations.”

I love a good facial and a good at home scrub so it’s great that this basically combines the two! It says it’s made with a fine-textured crystal blend so I’m curious about how gentle the scrub is. It’s said to even complexion, smooth fine lines and reduce scars. Can’t wait to test out those claims!

Lotus.Eco – Tampon 3 Absorbency Travel Pack ($3.83)

“Lotus.Eco tampons are 100% biodegradable and compostable, including the bioplastic packaging. Their supply chain is based on a sustainable circular economy, partnering with suppliers who focus on eliminating waste, and reusing resources.”

I don’t often use tampons anymore, but it’s certainly good to have a few on hand for the occasion that they’re needed. Any that I do use must be made from organic cotton so since these are they check that box for me. I love everything this company stands for and the thoughtfulness of their product creation and packaging. If I used tampons on the reg I’d for sure purchase these.

BONUS: Theo Chocolate – Peanut Butter & Jelly Cups ($2.30)

“Theo sources Organic & Fair Trade Certified Cocoa, like what goes into these delicious 55% Chocolate PB & J Cups, to ensure that their products benefit farmers & the environment.”

I love bonus items, I love chocolate and I especially love PB&J so this is made for me! I am so looking forward to having this for a little after dinner treat. I’m sure they are beyond delicious!

Vegancuts Beauty Box Review April 2021 – Final Thoughts

I love, love, love this special Earth Month Veganucts Beauty Box. I think it’s my favorite collection I’ve received from them yet. No, I know it’s my favorite overall collection I’ve received from them. I’ve always enjoyed past boxes, but there’s usually an item or two that I’m not as excited about, but this one is full of only things I’m excited to try out. I love that the variety of items is vast and includes so many things from personal care to skincare. I also especially appreciate any eco-friendly products that boxes send so since all of these are eco-conscious they are right up my alley. The insert card was fun this month too with it’s tips on sustainable ways to update your beauty routine. That kind of info isn’t usually included, so it was a great addition. Overall, what a great theme and selection to bring awareness to earth month and remind us to be conscious consumers for ourselves and the planet!
