August Box Details ($111.90 total value)

“This Beauty Box theme is Summer Fruit Party. When you open this month’s box we’re bringing you a Sweet Experience. The Cran-Orangesicle Lip Balm by Queen B is the perfect fruity soak your lips need (try not to eat it!). When you need a pick-me-up from the heat, spritz your skin with hydration throughout the day with the Facial Spritzer with Clary Sage and Niacinamide from the loved Delia Organics. The skin-rejuvenating Rosehip oil from Scentuals is right for those looking to nourish their skin without greasiness because it absorbs quickly. It’s even called “Dry oil”. These along with two other surprises are what we have in store for you this month Open the Door to some sweetness.

Also, this month’s box supports Fabio and friends at Aimee’s Farm Animal Sanctuary in Gilbert, AZ.”

Here’s a look at what’s in the August Vegancuts Beauty Box:

Queen B Cran-Orangesicle Lip Balm ($6)

“Cranberry seed oil has properties that can heal the chappest of lips. Many have noted the reduction of cold sores too when using cranberry seed oil!”

This lip balm smells so nice! A very bright blend of tart cranberry and crisp citrus. I’ve always loved cranberry orange baked goods and this reminds me of that aroma. It has a harder consistency in the pot, but warms with touch to be soft and blendable into lips for super hydration. It’s made with nourishing cranberry oil and kokum butter. The container is a great size and will seemingly last forever!

Delia Organics Facial Spritzer With Clary Sage And Niacinamide ($26)

“Infused with Vitamin B3, you will notice a change in skin tone, texture and hydration with continued use. How to use: Spray all over face as needed.”

I have been really into using niacinamide in my skincare lately so this item is perfect for me to try in my skincare routine. It’s made with lavender, tea tree and clary sage floral waters and includes salicylic acid and glycerin, plus of course, niacinamide. It smells refreshing, like a crisp and herbal floral and seems like it would be delightful for skin. I like trying different toners so I can’t wait to give this one a test run.

Scentuals Rosehip Oil ($22)

“Rosehip oil is packed with anti-inflammatory fatty acids nutrients like vitamins A and C. Use it to brighten, even out, & firm up skin.”

Rosehip is a great oil to nourish skin so this is perfect for getting skin prepped for the upcoming changing of the seasons. This is a blend of rosehip oil, grapeseed oil, apricot oil and safflower seed oil – all great for moisturization. It doesn’t have much of a scent, which is nice so it doesn’t overwhelm the senses. This is a pretty good sized bottle so it’s a great value that should last a long time.

Surprise item! Curology The Moisturizer

Surprise items are fun! Although, to me every item that comes each month is a surprise. I’ve actually received this exact item several months back from this box, so it seems like maybe they were clearing excess inventory? It would have been nice to get an item I didn’t already have, but o’well. This item is a moisturizer said to hydrate without clogging pores. When I received the product previously I decided it wasn’t what I needed in my skincare routine so I ended up gifting it to someone else. The product is an interesting concept, but I’ll likely pass this one along too.

Surprise item! Florally Sunflower Lemon Sheet Mask

Another surprise item! I also actually received this item in a box several months back so it isn’t as thrilling to receive either. Like I mentioned then, I don’t use a ton of sheet masks so I also ended up passing this item along to someone who does. I love lemon things though, so maybe I’ll give this a try this time. It says its supposed to help brighten skin, which is always something I could use help with.

Vegancuts Beauty Box Review August 2020 – Final Thoughts

There were some fun items in this month’s Vegancuts Beauty Box, but I was a little bummed that I received two repeat items. Of course, had they been items I really loved the last time around it would have been a great surprise to receive them again. They do sound like nice products, so not a total loss, just not as fun as finding something I’ve never seen before. So overall, I liked the non-surprise items and will likely get more use out of those.
