August Box Details ($68 total value)

“The August Beauty Box theme is: Vegan Beauty Brands Giving Back. In light of National Nonprofit Day, for this month’s Beauty box, we’re celebrating brands that donate a portion of their sales to charities. Try the Dr. Botanical’s limited edition Pride Lemon Superfood Rescue Butter – a multi-use favorite that can be used as a cleanser, treatment or moisturizer and $1 from every tube will be donated to an LGBTQ charity. Also discover Smooth Feet from Legendary Apothecary, a hydrating treatment that leaves feet soft and rejuvenated. Proceeds support several organizations including World Wild Life Fund and Last Chance For Animals. Support these plus 2 more luxury products from compassionate brands, all valued at over $68.”

Here’s a look at what’s in the August Vegancuts Beauty Box:

Dr. Botanicals – Pride Lemon Superfood Rescue Butter ($19.90)

“This refreshing lemon balm is a multi-use gem. For use as a moisturizer, massage a small amount into face, as a treatment, apply to lips, elbows, and heels or as a cleanser, apply a generous amount to face, wipe away with cloth then rinse. $1 from every limited edition Pride Rescue Butter will be donated to a LGBTQ charity.”

There’s no question this product celebrates Pride – what a fun design! And I love that they give to related charities with each purchase. It’s an interesting product too with it’s multiple uses, anyone could find a use for it. I like the idea of using it as a body lotion/moisturizer the most and find it to be a nice lightweight texture with a nice and light lemon scent. It almost smells like a lemon baked good – yum!

Earth Kiss – Kombucha & Charcoal Exfoliating Clay Mask ($2.99)

“An exfoliating clay mask that gently removes dead skin cells leaving skin brighter and softer. Apply evenly to clean skin, relax for 10-15min. Rinse with warm water and gently pat dry. Earth Kiss supports the Born Free Foundation.”

Face masks are always a fun treat. This one is super easy to use too since it’s a premixed packed you just squeeze out and apply. I’ve not heard of a mask that incorporates kombucha before so that’s a unique twist. They say that kombucha is the “tea of immortality” and has unique cleaning benefits. I’m intrigued to see what those are. This would be great for an easy night of simple self care.

Palmetto Derma – Peace + Love Bath Bomb ($10)

“Bursting with fresh grapefruit aroma, this bath bomb is formulated to enhance peace and well-being. Fill your tub with warm water, add bath bomb and relax. Profits help support Breast Cancer awareness.”

I haven’t taken a bath in quite awhile but I love them so this is inspiring me to fill up the tub and get a soak in. It smells really nice and fruity-sweet and would be a nice aroma to energize your mind, while still soothing your senses.

Legendary Apothecary – Smooth Feet ($35)

“This old world treatment transforms feet from dry and cracked to smooth, soft and hydrated. Use to treat cracked heels, dryness, calluses and corns. Massage 1 full dropper onto the bottom of each foot before bed for 7-10 days or as needed. Profits help support human, animal and environmental efforts.”

This item is most intriguing to me! I’ve tried a lot of products in my day but not a smoothing foot oil yet. I’m so curious how this works and what results could come of it. It sounds super easy to use by just apply the oil to feet at night which can be a great bedtime ritual in itself. I also love anything lavender and the scent itself is super soothing to fall asleep to so I can see this becoming part of my before bed routine for sure.

Vegancuts Beauty Box Review August 2021 – Final Thoughts

I love that this month’s Vegancuts Beauty Box items are all highlighted for giving back to meaningful organizations. Not only is it great to support the causes through the box purchase, but it’s great to know what companies give back for future product purchase consideration. I think all the products this month are interesting, unique and useful, but I’m thinking that Foot Oil is grabbing my attention the most so I’ll be digging into that first for a restful sleep and smooth feet. Of course the rest of the items are wonderful and easy to incorporate into some self care too. Overall, I just appreciate the additional information on the supported causes that was provided and applaud these small companies for choosing to give back. That makes this month’s box extra special!
