January Box Details ($51.55 total value)

“The January Vegancuts Beauty Box highlights Wellness Essentials for the New Year! January is the time of year to declare resolutions. Many of us are looking to get healthier, use cleaner products, and exercise more often. In order to help you achieve your goals, we curated a box of five items to help you with your new wellness routine and keep your skin hydrated during this cold time of year.”

Here’s a look at what’s in the January Vegancuts Beauty Box:

Delia Organics Lemon Drop Hydrating Face Balm ($12)

“Usage tip! Not just for the face, use this balm to moisturize dry spots.”

This is a thick and rich skin balm. It would definitely be best for dry patches. I’m not sure about applying it to the whole face. Since it’s rather thick you have to kind of warm it between fingers before applying (at least in this cold winter weather anyway). It does rub in nicely though and leaves skin feeling soft. It smells really bright and fresh too as it’s scented with lemon balm and lavender essential oils. This is great for keeping on hand in the winter.

PlantFusion Complete Plant Collagen Builder ($3.99)

“Fun fact! This will help build and protect collagen in your skin, while also hydrating your skin and joints.”

This plant based collagen beverage that’s formulated to hydrate and protect collagen. Collagen keeps joints and skin healthy so this seems like a good supplement to take. It’s easy to mix up by just stirring or shaking with water so this could easily be taken on the go. I’ve never really gotten into these types of beverages before but I’m intrigued to try this and see what it tastes like. It says it’s flavor is “creamy vanilla bean” so I’m guessing it’s mild with a hint of sweetness.

Honestly pHresh Sugar Mint Natural Deodorant ($9.99)

“Fun fact! The formula uses a balance of prebiotics, minerals, and essential oils to keep you fresh without irritation.”

I love trying out new natural deodorants and this is one I haven’t tried yet. It’s a baking soda free, magnesium enriched, prebiotic deodorant that says it has 24 hour protection. It smells really nice- a sweet and woodsy mint scent. That comes from the sage, spearmint, peppermint and bergamot oils on the ingredient list. Many of the ingredients are organic and fair trade certified. I can’t wait to try this one and test out it’s odor protection claim!

Aura Cacia Tranquil Chamomile Mineral Bath ($3.57)

“Usage tip! Use as a foot soak or a full mineral bath for a spa-like experience.”

I’m so in need of a good relaxing bath so this product is the perfect reminder to make some time to do so. The scent combo sounds so calming and would really make for a peaceful soak. It’s made with lavender, chamomile, balsam fir, patchouli, palma rosa, and geranium pure essential oils.

Fleur & Bee Eyes Eyes Baby Natural Anti-Aging Eye Cream ($22)

“Fun fact! This eye cream will soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, moisturize your skin, and decrease the appearance of dark circles.”

This eye cream is full of vitamins and minerals to help moisturize, brighten, and tone the under eye area. It’s a richer cream that’s on the thicker side, but rubs in nicely leaving skin feeling soft and hydrated. Just a tiny bit applied in the morning would be best, but at night you could apply a heavier layer. It smells nice and light with a hint of soft lavender. I’m always on the hunt for products to reduce dark circles so I’ll be giving this one a try.

Vegancuts Beauty Box Review January 2020 – Final Thoughts

This month’s Vegancuts Beauty Box theme of wellness and keeping resolutions is a fun one! The contents definitely feel wellness focused as well as cold weather focused too- and anything to help this cold weather skin is awesome at this time of year. It’s nice that there was a mix of skincare and body care in this collection since wellness really should be holistic. I’m especially looking forward to trying the deodorant and taking a nice warm bath with the bath soak, but really, all the items sound interesting to try. Maybe they’ll entice me to set some wellness goals for the remainder of the year too, who knows!?
