April Box Details

“This Snack Box theme is Everybunny Loves Chocolate. Whether you are spending time at home with family, snuggled up with a pet, or are an essential worker fighting to keep everyone safe, you deserve a little vacation from the monotony and stress, even if it’s just a moment to savor something delicious. With that in mind, we’ve stuffed the April Vegancuts Snack Box full of products like Plant Snacks Cassava Root Chips, dippables perfect for hummus or guac, Brownie Cookies from U Luv Foods, which have our vote for the best afternoon pick-me up, and RIND Snacks’ StrawPeary Dried Fruit Blend, a goodie-bag we can’t seem to put down. This month’s Snack Box is a perfect gift to send to yourself or a friend – stay safe and we’ll all get through this together!”

Here’s a look at what’s in the April Vegancuts Snack Box:

U Luv Foods Brownie Cookies

“Delicious crunchy mouthfuls of chocolatey goodness”

Oh my, these look delicious! I love brownies and I love cookies and I love healthier, gluten-free options of both so I’m sure these will be good. They of course still have sugar in them, but I love that they are gluten and nut free and don’t have a super long ingredient list. It seems like they are the crunchy type of cookie which is nice for a little afternoon snack.

Plant Snacks Sea Salt Cassava Root Chips

“Highly dippable savory snack-try not to eat the whole bag!”

I really like any other cassava root product I’ve tried so I’m sure these will be good. They’re made with just cassava root flour, sunflower oil, sesame seeds, sea salt & rosemary extract. I‘m sure these are great with some kind of dip, but they’re likely great on their own too. I like that these are in cracker shape for easy snacking and dipping.

RIND Snacks Straw-Peary Dried Fruit Blend

“Chewy, fruity & good-for-you sweetness”

I’ve eyed these before and have always wanted to try them, guess now’s my chance! This snack is a dried fruit combo of strawberry/apple/pear which sounds so tasty. They leave the skin on the fruit (unlike normal dried fruit) with the idea that more vitamins, antioxidants and fiber are found there. It also creates less waste along with being more nutritious.

Riverside Naturals Good-To-Go Double Chocolate Keto Bar

“Tastes like a brownie but feels like a healthy treat”

Another chocolatey brownie-like snack/treat – awesome! This one sounds too good to be true, but I’m sure it’s delicious. It only has 1g of sugar and has a pretty simple ingredient list that includes things like almond flour, cocoa powder and chia seeds. I think this would make a great snack or help curb a sugar craving.

Skout Organic Chocolate Cherry Protein Bar

“It’s like a pocket-sized Black Forest Cake!”

I don’t often see protein bars that have no nuts on the ingredient list, but this one doesn’t – only seeds. It’s made with the organic ingredients of dates, sunflower seeds, sunflower seed powder, pumpkin seeds, cocoa, cherries and cherry flavor. I don’t mind nuts, but I try to be mindful of over-consuming so a snack like this is a perfect change of pace. Plus, I love the flavor combo of cherry chocolate.

Bakery on Main Sprouted Blueberry Flax Granola

“Coconutty & not-too-sweet-try it with vegan yogurt & fresh fruit!”

This is an organic and gluten-free granola made with gluten-free oats and dried blueberries. I love topping yogurt with granola and this one sounds like the perfect pairing with the blueberry flavor since blueberries are one of my favorite fruits. This little pack is the perfect serving size and convenient for taking on the go.

Aloe for Life Eloa Drink

“Refreshing & surprisingly delightful with tons of healthy benefits”

This sounds refreshing and light. I’ve never tried an aloe drink before but I’ve been curious as I know aloe vera is soothing and healing for the gut lining. This one probably tastes a bit fruity since it’s flavor is Lychee. I like that all the ingredients are organic and that their product of the product respects the environment and it’s employee’s wellbeing – they control 100% of its production from the field to the bottles. Awesome!

Love Good Fats Chewy Nutty Coconut Macadamia Bar

“Tasty pick-me-up that’s full of big almond chunks!”

This looks like a newish product and flavor from this company which makes it fun to try. It’s a keto protein nut bar that’s made with whole macadamia nuts and coconut and a hint of cinnamon. Macadamia nuts are so delicious so I’m sure this flavor combo will be great. This is another great snack option for busy times that’s made with simple ingredients.

Split Nutrition Almond Butter & Blueberry Squeeze Pack

“Uniquely scrumptious 2-in-1 (you can even make a PB & J with it!)”

This is great for on the go snacking. You could definitely eat it straight out of the pouch or use it to top a treat or some toast. I love, love, love pb&j sandwiches so I know I will love this pouch pairing of almond butter and blueberry preserves. I think I’ll try this as a yogurt or oatmeal topping for breakfast, since you know, we aren’t really going anywhere right now.

EarthChimp Protein Powder

“20 grams of tasty organic plant-based protein”

I generally don’t like protein powders but this one actually sounds tasty. It’s the chocolate flavor which is made with pea, pumpkin, sunflower & coconut for the protein source along with cocoa, an organic fruit and vegetable blend and a superfood blend. It’s also got probiotics and digestive enzymes and is sweetened with monk fruit. Simple, nutritious and would make a good snack or quick breakfast.

Blake’s Seed Based Smores Bar

“A campfire favorite made allergy-friendly: the perfect work-from-home pick-me-up!”

Ok, I love s’mores so this has got to be good! I think my eyes got wide when I spied this in the box. Yum! My husband loves s’mores even more though so I’ll probably have to share this with him. I’m always looking for any kind of snack that’s healthier, yet satisfying and even better if it kicks a sugar craving so this is perfect. It could probably even be a little replacement for an after dinner dessert? We’ll see!

Vegancuts Snack Box Review April 2020 – Final Thoughts

So many items in this month’s Vegancuts Snack Box pique my interest! I think I kept say “Yay!” or “Yum!” with every item I pulled out while unboxing. It’s such a great selection! I’m really into finding new snack bars right now that fit some dietary requirements I have, so I love that there were several in this month’s box. I wish I had time to make elaborate snacks, but I generally don’t so I love getting this box to help me out. It was a good mix of item types, but I’d definitely say it leaned toward the sweeter side this month which is totally fine by me. I have a huge sweet tooth so all the contents are right up my alley.
