January Box Details

“We are starting 2020 off with a bang! The January Vegancuts Snack Box is loaded with some of our favorite sweet and savory vegan-friendly goodies. We are talking Bohana Soulful Spice Waterlily Puffs, D’Vash Date Syrup, and Lupii bars which are brand new to the market so you’ll be one of the first to get your paws on them—how exciting! That’s not all, the January Snack Box is filled to the brim with products that are brand new to the market so you’ll have an exclusive first-taste to some incredible snacks!”

Here’s a look at what’s in the January box:

Lupii Lupini Bean Powered Bite Peanut Butter Cacao

Out of the handful of flavor options for this item I ended up getting the Peanut Butter Cacao bar. I love anything that’s the peanut butter chocolate combo so this is perfect! I’ve never heard of lupini beans before but that’s what this bar is made out of (plus 4 others simple ingredients including dates, peanut butter, cacao nibs and water). I’m always on the hunt for a good tree nut free snack thats quick so I’m really intrigued to try this one!

GURU Energy Lite Energy Drink

Admittedly I judged this one by the packaging at first glance – it definitely screams energy drink and I don’t do energy drinks but a quick look at the ingredients ensures it’s a much more natural way to get some energy. It has 100mg of naturally occurring caffeine and is made with organic ingredients like green tea extract, guarana seed extract, echinacea flower extract, and panax ginseng root extract. I really don’t drink caffeine but would be intrigued by this if it did.

Bush’s Best Sea Salt Bean Chips

I’ve tried bean chips before and they were really pretty tasty so I’m guessing these will be too. It’s funny, but also makes sense, that Bush’s got into the chip making business. These are made with a handful of simple ingredients, the first being ground black beans. These are the original flavor but they have chili lime and sweet mesquite flavors that look good too. The only thing that would make these better is if they were organic.

Kafina Kafina Energy Shot

“A revolutionary organic energy elixir unlike anything you have tried”

This product is really interesting. It’s an all natural and organic energy shot that’s made with water, maple syrup, coffee, schisandra berry, fenugreek seed, and cardamom. I’d never heard of a schisandra berry but it’s an adaptogen that’s said to help reduce stress and increase energy. Like I mentioned above, I don’t do caffeine but would totally be into this if I did. The flavor combo sounds tasty and I’m all about adaptogens.

SMPL Detox or Chill Bites

“Part snack, part herbal remedy. Each bite is packed with nourishing superfoods and herbal adaptogens!”

Another interesting product! Out of the two options my box contained the Detox bites which are made with charcoal and coconut to assist with digestion and detoxing. They are made with superfoods and adaptogens to pack a healthy punch. Many of the ingredients are organic and they are the perfect size for on-the-go. I’ve never tried a charcoal containing snack so testing these out will be fun.

D’vash Date Nectar

“Loaded with antioxidants, potassium, and key minerals”

This is a great sugar/honey alternative for sweetening teas, coffees, desserts, etc. It’s 100% dates, nothing else and has 25% less sugar than honey. I don’t often sweeten teas but I’m definitely curious about the flavor so I think that’s how I’ll test this one out.

Puffworks Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter or Original Peanut Butter Puffs

I love this snack! I’ve tried the honey version before and they were delicious so I’m sure the Original version that I got in my box will be just as delicious. They are organic and made with a few simple ingredients including peanut butter and cornmeal. They are crunchy convenient for on the go. I’ll be digging into these asap!

Dang Foods Peanut Butter Bar

“Brand new flavor! – you’re the first to try it!”

Here’s another peanut butter item, this time a snack bar made with peanuts, coconut, almonds, sunflower seeds and more. I love anything peanut butter flavored so I’m sure this tastes pretty good. It’s non-gmo, keto certified, low in sugar and has 9g of protein. It’s fun that it’s a new flavor and subscribers are the first to try!

Bohana Spicy Water Lily Puffs

“Popped Water Lily Seeds, also known as Makhana have been consumed in India for thousands of years!”

Popped water lily seeds are a common snack in India, but not as common here so it’s fun to try something new! I’ve never tried these so I’m not sure how they taste, but I’m guessing they are light and crunchy. These are flavored with red pepper, chili peppers, garlic and paprika so there’s likely a bit of a kick. I like a bit of spice so I’m looking forward to trying.

Ekoa Pineapple Bar

“Just dates and pineapple!”

I really like simple ingredient snacks so this one is perfect. It’s a snack bar made with just dates and pineapple – that’s it! It feels soft and like it would be a good chewy texture. It’s a good size for popping in your bag or purse for snacking anytime.

Vegancuts Snack Box Review January 2020 – Final Thoughts

Vegancuts Snack Box is always so fun to open up! Almost always I’m introduced to new brands or types of snacks that I’ve never heard of before. This month I’d only heard of and tried one item so it’s all fresh to me. I like the lengths they go to to make the selection interesting and new by even including brand new snacks and flavors no one else has been able to buy yet – so exclusive! That’s definitely a bonus to subscribing to this box. I also like how there’s always a mix of sweet and savory treats, the variety is always on point. I’m definitely looking forward to testing out everything from this month’s Vegancuts Snack Box!
