June Box Details

“June Snack Box: Celebrating Asian-Owned Brands & International Flavors. For June’s Snack Box, we’re featuring the coolest brands, including three companies founded by amazing Asian women! We’re enjoying sweets like Cinnamon-Drizzled Lily Puffs, Chocolate Chip Rice Crispy Treats and Chocolate Hazelnut Date Bites. With 11 snacks, this is also our way of ushering in summertime with BBQ Baked Puffs, an Italian-Style Vegan Risotto Meal, Ginger Lemon Turmeric Bars and more. Enjoy the first days of summer!”

Here’s a look at what’s in the June Vegancuts Snack Box:

ASIAN-OWNED – Bohana Sweet Cinnamon Drizzle OR Chocolate Sea Salt

“Owners of Bohana, Priyal and Nadine, went back to their Indian roots and rediscovered a favorite childhood snack: these popped water lily seeds are delicious, sustainable and healthy.”

Out of the two options to receive I got the Chocolate Sea Salt. Both sound amazing, but I’m glad I got the chocolate flavor. I’ve tried some of this product in another flavor before, but this one sounds way better. A nice and light sweet treat.

ASIAN-OWNED – Pirq Golden Vanilla Plant Protein Superfoods Shake

“Inspired by her mom’s obsession with the superfood Turmeric, Minal Bhakta decided to create a product that would make it easy for people to access the healing powers of Turmeric without sacrificing taste – you’ll see for yourself how delicious it is.”

This beverage sounds really good! I don’t drink coffee or anything like that in the morning so this would make a great alternative to that for a morning pick me up beverage.

ASIAN-OWNED – Dang Peanut Butter Bar

“Founded by two Thai-American brothers based on an original recipe from their mom, Dang is named in her honor. These bars taste like the inside of a peanut butter cup in the best way possible”

I love Dang Bars! I actually really like this flavor, but am not eating peanuts right now so I’ll pass this one on to a lucky peanut butter lover. They are a great snack for those, like me, with pretty restricted diets. They are filling and actually taste good.

LivBar Ginger Lemon Turmeric Bar

“A Superfood Energy Bar that provides balanced, sustainable energy in whole food form.”

I’ve liked the LivBars I’ve tried before and I haven’t had this flavor so this is great. This one sounds nice and bright, perfect for a summer snack. It’s made with only whole food, healthy ingredients so it’s a snack that’s good for you too.

Blake’s Seed Based Chocolate Chip Rice Crispy Treat

“A childhood favorite made with Seeds, Fruit + Chocolate that have all of the taste and none of the allergens.”

This sounds like a tasty treat! I’ve loved their granola bars that I’ve tried before and I love crispy treats, so this has got to be good. And bonus that it has a few health benefits with the included seeds.

Munch Rights BBQ Baked Puffs

“Knock-your-socks-off tasty puffs that are hard to put down.”

This is a huge bag compared to normal snacks that are included! I’m sure they are delicious too with their BBQ flavor so it’s great to have this large sized bag. I don’t often do snack-y things like this, but it’s nice for a treat once in a while.

RightRice Risotto

“Say buongiorno to a modern twist on an Italian classic: creamy (& dairy-free!) risotto.”

I actually got the Basil Pesto Rice version, which is ok by me. I’m sure the Risotto is delicious too, but this sound like a nice summer side dish.

LIFEAID IMMUNITYAID GO!

“A Zero-Sugar immunity + hydration packet that’s delicious and health-promoting.”

What an easy way to get in a boost of immunity! All you do is add it to some water for a delicious beverage. I’m sure the citrus flavor is tasty and refreshing.

Tea Riot Plant Powered Energy Drink

“Pure and simple ingredients – tea, real fruit and sparkling water. This tastes like delicious fizzy juice.”

This certainly sounds tasty with it’s bubbly berry flavor, but I don’t drink caffeine so I’ll likely pass this one on to someone who does.

Bakery on Main Organic Sprouted Blueberry Flax Granola

“This granola is perfect for sprinkling over coconut yogurt or into a bowl of plant-milk for a wholesome breakfast.”

I love blueberries and granola and yogurt so I’m sure this one would make for a super tasty breakfast.

Bonus: Froozeballs

I love it when they’ve included this tasty snack as a bonus item. They are really so good! My toddler loves them also.

Vegancuts Snack Box Review June 2021 – Final Thoughts

As always, Vegancuts Snack Box makes snacking interesting! I love the new products this month’s box included, even if some of the brands were already familiar. I also appreciate that they snuck in a little tasty bonus treat, that’s always fun! I also like when they highlight certain makers and feature brands based on a theme like this month’s Asian makers. It’s nice to know a tiny bit about who’s making the products you purchase so you can be a more informed consumer who supports brands that are meaningful. I only wish there had been even more Asian brands included too! Perhaps they’ll do this kind of highlight again soon. In the meantime, I can’t wait to try everything out!
