If you’ve read any of my recent posts or box reviews, you might have seen that summer is my all time very favorite season. The sun, the warmth, the flowers and longer days just lift my spirits. The feelings the season brings are coincidentally quite like the feeling of finding a favorite subscription box on my doorstep! So go figure, summer subscription boxes tend to be especially loved.
This summer really brought it’s A-game with delivering top notch subscription boxes – the whole team here at A Year of Boxes was really impressed with our deliveries. With summer coming to a close we thought it would be great to wrap it up with our favorite bright spots and highlights from this warm and sunny season along with a handful of our favorite boxes that can help keep the summer vibes alive year round. And we all know I need that because it’s guaranteed I’ll be wishing for summer as soon as the first snowflake falls!

The month of July brings about the “Plastic Free July” eco movement to encourage people to reduce their plastic waste. Let’s Go Eco box works to encourage that movement year round! Of course the Summer box was right on point and contained a handful of necessary items to get you started on your plastic free journey. It was our first time reviewing this box and it was a summer highlight for sure.

Scent is such a strong connecter to experiences so it’s no wonder we loved our candles from our summer Vellaboxes. The only thing better than a sunny day is a beautiful aroma to help enhance that atmosphere. We received a handful of lovely candle scents in our boxes including But First, Mimosas (mandarin & mimosa), Afternoon Delight (white tea & ripe berries), Sugared Citrus, and Peony Bouquet to complement the bright summer days.

TheraBox is curated with inspiring happy lives in mind, and since summer is so joyful this box made for extra special deliveries during the season. We received several summer appropriate skincare items, items to bring along to the beach or pool, summer aroma items, cute accessories and cooling beverages. The perfect summer mix!

Sweet Reads Box is one of our favorite book subscription boxes and we especially love their limited edition boxes. There couldn’t be a better theme for the summer box we received either: “Beach Read Box.” Books have such a magical way of transporting the reader to another time and place and the book included in this box obviously took us straight to the sandy shores. Of course they sent several other great beach themed items to complement the book too such as citrusy snacks, a water bottle, a frosé mixer, lip balm and more!

That’s a wrap on some of our favorite boxes, but I’ve got a few more you HAVE to check out if you’re hanging onto every last drop of the warm weather and don’t want it to ever end.
